Brent Ray Jones (born May 7, 1966) is an American gospel musician, pianist, and choir conductor. He started his music career, in 1999, with the release of Brent Jones & the T.P. Mobb with Holy Roller Entertainment, and this charted on three Billboard magazine charts. His second album, Beautiful, came out in 2002 with EMI GMG Records, which this charted three charts. The third album, The Ultimate Weekend, released in 2007 by Tyscot Records, and this placed on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. He released, Joy Comin', in 2014 with Echopark Records, and this placed upon the Gospel Albums chart.

Early life

Jones was born on May 7, [1] 1966 in Los Angeles, California, [2] as Brent Ray Jones, [3] and he commenced his piano lessons to become a pianist at the age of six. [1] He was installed as the music director and minister of his church at 14 years old. [1] [4]

Music career

His music recording career began in 1999, with the release of Brent Jones & the T.P. Mobb by Majestic Recordings on June 22, 1999, [5] and this album placed upon three Billboard magazine charts, which were the Gospel Albums at No. 4, R&B Albums chart at No. 37, and No. 17 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. [6] The subsequent album, Beautiful, was released on April 9, 2002, by EMI CMG Records, [5] and this placed on the Gospel Albums at No. 7, R&B Albums at No. 35, and Heatseekers Albums at No. 19. [6] He released, The Ultimate Weekend, with Tyscot Records on October 9, 2007, [5] and this placed upon the Gospel Albums chart at No. 14. [6] The fourth album, Joy Comin', was released by Echopark Records in 2014, [5] and this charted on the Top Gospel Albums at No. 6. [6]

This album would chart on three Billboard charts Gospel Albums, Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums. His second album, Arise, was released in 2011 with Entertainment One. The album charted three Billboard charts again, this time The Billboard 200, Gospel Albums and Independent Albums. His third album, Withholding Nothing, was released in 2013, with Entertainment One. This album would chart on three charts The Billboard 200, Gospel Albums, and Independent Albums. He was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album, for his third album.

He is the worship leader at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he has served since June 2008.

Lamar Campbell is an American gospel musician. He started his music career in 1987, and has since created the group Spirit of Praise that are based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. They have released nine albums with six of them charting on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. James Hall is an American gospel musician, organist, and music producer. Known as the “Duke of Gospel”. He started his music career, in 1994, with the release of God Is in Control with Intersound Records, and this charted on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. Hall has released six more albums with various labels that have charted on the Gospel Albums chart, and these were with Worship & Praise, which is the name of his choir he founded. He released an album with Voices of Citadel in 2010, Won't It Be Wonderful, that charted on the Gospel Albums chart.
