Bret Ray Campbell (born November 5, 1960) was the head men's basketball coach at Chipola College. He is former head men's basketball coach at University of Tennessee at Martin. He served in this position from 1999 to 2009. Despite being named the Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year for the 2008–2009 season, he was asked to resign under pressure by UT-Martin. [1] [2] His record after 10 seasons at UT-Martin was 125–168 (.427) [3]

His record for three seasons at Chipola College was 61–29 (.678) but he resigned for reasons unknown. [4]

Prior to arriving at UT Martin, Campbell served as an assistant coach at Austin Peay, Central Florida, Birmingham-Southern and Kennesaw State. Campbell started his coaching career in 1983 as a graduate assistant at Valdosta State University.

Campbell played basketball at Valdosta State, and was a three-year starter at guard. He left the school as their all-time career leader in assists.

Bruce Alan Pearl is an American college basketball coach, and the head coach of the Auburn Tigers men's basketball team. He previously served as the head coach at Tennessee, Milwaukee, and Southern Indiana. Pearl led Southern Indiana to a Division II national championship in 1995 and was named Division II Coach of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He has won four conference championships and three conference tournament championships as a Division I head coach, and has made ten NCAA tournament appearances and one Final Four. Ramon Asa Mears was an American college basketball coach. He served as the head basketball coach at Wittenberg University from 1956 to 1962 and the University of Tennessee from 1962 to 1977. His career record of 399–135 (.747) still ranks among the top 15 all-time NCAA coaching records for those with a minimum of 10 seasons. Mears is largely regarded as the father of Tennessee Volunteers basketball, and was known for his trademark orange blazer, which he wore during games. Mears is also credited with coining the phrase "Big Orange Country." Mears was born in Dover, Ohio and was married to the former Dana Davis. They had three sons: Steve, Mike, and Matt. Ray Mears Boulevard in Knoxville, Tennessee, the city where he died, is named for him.

Sam McCorkle is former head football coach at both the University of West Alabama and the University of Tennessee at Martin. Floyd B. Burdette was a head coach for both the Alabama and Tennessee–Martin Skyhawks men's basketball teams. Born in Martin, Tennessee, Burdette played college basketball for one season at UT Junior College and three at Murray State University from 1935 to 1938. In all four season he competed, Burdette led his team in scoring and was an all-conference selection. He then attended Oklahoma A&M where he both coached and played in 1944 before he began his head coaching career.

Jason T. James is an American high school basketball coach who is currently boys' varsity coach at Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee. He was previously a college basketball coach, most recently men's basketball head coach at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Dana Ford is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach for Missouri State University since March 21, 2018. Prior to coaching the Bears, he was the head coach at Tennessee State from 2014 through the 2018 season. Ford is a former basketball player, having played at Illinois State from 2002 to 2006. After not being selected in the 2006 NBA draft, the Tamms, Illinois native joined the Tennessee State Tigers coaching staff under head coach John Cooper. He has previously been with Wichita State and Illinois State through his coaching career, playing a key role in the teams' recruiting and overall success.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Anthony Stewart (basketball coach)</span> American basketball coach (1970–2020)

Anthony W. Stewart was an American college basketball coach. His last position was as head coach of the UT Martin Skyhawks. Since Stewart joined the Skyhawk program as the associate head coach under Heath Schroyer in 2014, the team won 94 games, the most in a six-year time period since they became part of Division I. Stewart was responsible of the team's three straight 20-win campaigns from 2014–2017, a first for the UT team. Also in that span, the Skyhawks won five postseason games and was the only Ohio Valley Conference school to win at least one postseason game in each of the last three seasons. Coach Stewart had gone on to coach over 15 professional players during his coaching career.
