Bret Curtis is an American auto racing driver and business entrepreneur. Bret Curtis founded Spectra Resources in 2002 and United Steel Supply in 2007. [1] [2] Curtis has been racing since 2009, and currently competes in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series for Turner Motorsport driving a BMW M6 GT3. Curtis has competed around the world in some of the most prestigious endurance races including 24 hours of Le Mans, 24 hours of Daytona, Spa 24 hours, Dubai 24 hour; 12 hours of Sebring, Bathurst 12 Hour; Petit Le Mans; and the 6 hours of Laguna Seca. Curtis placed second overall in the 2012 Bathurst 12 Hour driving for Erebus Racing/Black Falcon. [3] Curtis placed second in the P2 class at the 2012 12 Hours of Sebring driving an LMP2 class Lola for Black Swan Racing. [4] Curtis won the GTC class at the 2012 Six Hours of Laguna at Mazda Laguna Raceway. [5] [6] Curtis also competed in 2012 for Black Falcon Racing in the 2012 Blancpain Endurance Championship driving a Mercedes SLS GT3. [7] Bret Curtis also contested the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GTE class for Prospeed, driving a Porsche 911 RSR (997). [8] Curtis placed 6th in the GTD class of the WeatherTech SportsCar championship in 2016 with a win at MOSPORT and a win at the Circuit of the Americas and a second place at the 12 hours of Sebring.

The 2010 American Le Mans Series season was the 40th overall season for the IMSA GT Championship, and the twelfth as the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. It was also the first season in which the ALMS used a revised structure for its four classes, as well as the first year in a three-year sponsorship deal with Patrón. The season began with the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 20 and ended with the Petit Le Mans on October 2, completing nine total races.

W Racing Team is a Belgian auto racing team founded in 2009 by engineer and former head of Volkswagen Motorsport René Verbist, racing driver Vincent Vosse, and entrepreneur Yves Weerts. Between 2010 and 2022 the team campaigned Audi R8 LMSs in several international sports car series. In 2010 the team won the Belcar Drivers' and Teams' Championships, while in 2011 they won the Spa 24 Hours. After winning multiple titles in various GT championships, WRT is considered to be one of the best teams worldwide in GT racing. In 2019 and 2020 WRT ran two Audi RS5 Turbo DTMs in the highly competitive DTM championship. The 2016 IMSA SportsCar Championship was the third season of the United SportsCar Championship and first to be under the name as the IMSA SportsCar Championship organized by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). It was the 46th season of IMSA-sanctioned GT Championship sportscar racing tracing its lineage to the 1971 IMSA Camel GT season. It began on January 30 with the 24 Hours of Daytona and ended on October 1 at Petit Le Mans.
