Brian A. Miller is an American television producer and the former Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, California, having assumed the title from 2000 to 2021. [1] [2] He was formerly Vice President of Production at Nickelodeon Animation Studio, [1] [3] Vice President of Production at Hanna-Barbera, [1] and Vice President of Production at DIC Entertainment. He served as a production supervisor for 1983's Alvin and the Chipmunks series and was the executive in charge of production for various shows in the 1990s and early 2000s such as Dexter's Laboratory , Hey Arnold! , The Angry Beavers , ChalkZone , CatDog , Sonic the Hedgehog , The Powerpuff Girls , Captain Planet and the Planeteers , Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog , Cow and Chicken , Johnny Bravo , and the first and early second season of SpongeBob SquarePants .

On January 8, 2021, Miller founded a new animation production studio, Pat and Mike Productions, Inc. [5] Miller serves as both chief executive officer and secretary, while former Cartoon Network Studios partner Jennifer Pelphrey serves as chief operating officer. [6]

On March 19, 2021, Miller left his job at Cartoon Network Studios, as part of a company wide restructuring due to the merger with AT&T.

Personal life

Miller attended California State University in Northridge, Los Angeles, from 1978 to 1982. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in radio, television, and film.

<i>Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends</i> American animated television series

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is an American animated television series created by Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. It was produced by Cartoon Network Studios as the network's first show animated primarily with Adobe Flash, which was done both by Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank and in Ireland by Boulder Media. Set in a world in which imaginary friends coexist with humans, it centers on a boy named Mac who is pressured by his mother to abandon his imaginary friend Bloo. After the duo discover an orphanage dedicated to housing abandoned imaginary friends, Bloo moves into the home and is kept from adoption as long as Mac visits him every day at exactly 3:00 PM. The episodes revolve around Mac and Bloo as they interact with other imaginary friends and house staff and live out their day-to-day adventures, often getting caught up in various predicaments.

Cartoon Cartoons is a collective name used by Cartoon Network for their original animated television series originally aired from April 28, 1996, to November 8, 2009, and produced in majority by Hanna-Barbera and/or Cartoon Network Studios. The collective name includes the Cartoon Network original series What a Cartoon!, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Mike, Lu & Og, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Sheep in the Big City, Time Squad, Grim & Evil, Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones?, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and Evil Con Carne.

Paul Bernard Rudish is an American animator, storyboard artist, writer, and voice actor, originally known for his art, writing, and design work at Cartoon Network Studios on series created by Genndy Tartakovsky. He went on to co-create the series Sym-Bionic Titan and, in 2013, developed, wrote, storyboarded, executive produced, and directed a revival of Mickey Mouse short cartoons.

<i>The Cartoonstitute</i> American TV series or program

The Cartoonstitute was a planned Cartoon Network project created by Cartoon Network's executive Rob Sorcher that would have been a showcase for animated shorts created without the interference of network executives and focus testing. It was headed by Craig McCracken and Rob Renzetti. Thirty-nine shorts for the project were in development at Cartoon Network Studios, but only 14 of these were completed. Eventually, balancing 5 upcoming shows and adding another proved difficult and the project was scrapped. Of the shorts that were made, only Regular Show and Uncle Grandpa got greenlit to become animated series. On May 7, 2010, Cartoon Network released nearly all of the shorts to their website. The only shorts not released were Maruined, 3 Dog Band, and Joey to the World.

Tooncast is a Latin American pay television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery through its International division. It was launched on December 1, 2008; its programming consists of classical animation, both from Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network. The channel is a commercial-free service.

Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion is a 2011 crossover fighting video game developed by Papaya Studio and published by Crave Games, for the Nintendo 3DS. It features characters from various Cartoon Network programs battling against one another. The game was released in June 2011 in North America and in April 2012 in Europe. An upgraded port, Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL, was released for the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 less than a year later.

Clayton McKenzie Morrow is an American animator, writer, director, storyboard artist and storyboard director. He is the son of Oscar and Emmy winning screenwriter Barry Morrow.

Robert James Alvarez is an American animator, storyboard artist, television director, and writer. Alvarez studied at the Chouinard Art Institute, which later became the California Institute of the Arts, graduating in 1971. He began his career as an assistant animator for the 1968 film Yellow Submarine. Throughout his five decades in the animation industry, Alvarez has developed an extensive resume. He has worked on hundreds of productions, mainly for television. He is best known for his work on multiple shows at Hanna-Barbera and Cartoon Network Studios, and has also worked at other animation studios, such as Disney Television Animation, Nickelodeon, Frederator Studios, and Warner Bros. Animation. His studio credits include, in chronological order, Scooby-Doo, The Smurfs, The Jetsons, G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, DuckTales, SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, Animaniacs, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Ben 10, Regular Show, and Adventure Time. He has been awarded six Primetime Emmy Awards and a total of 25 Emmy nominations for his achievements.

Collette Marie Sunderman is an American director principally involved with voice direction for animated television, film productions and video games.

The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated media franchise created by animator Craig McCracken and produced by Hanna-Barbera. The franchise originated on a cartoon short Whoopass Stew! in 1992 and centers on Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three genetically engineered little girls with superpowers. They live in the fictional city of Townsville with their father and creator, the scientist Professor Utonium, where-in they are frequently called upon by the city's mayor in order to help fight criminals and other enemies using their powers.
