Brian Siemann (born October 7, 1989) is an American T53 wheelchair racer.
Siemann was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Millstone, New Jersey. [2] He attended Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. [3] He then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and majored in special education. He currently serves as a learning disabilities and ADHD specialist at his alma mater. [4]
Siemann made his international debut for the United States at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships. [5]
He represented the United States at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. [6] He again represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, and finished in fourth place in the 800 metres T53 event, with a time of 1:41.11, two-one hundredths of a second behind bronze medalist Brent Lakatos. [7]
In November 2016, Siemann competed in the 2016 New York City Marathon, along with his siblings. They became the first quadruplets to compete together in the New York City Marathon. [8] [9]
He represented the United States at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in the 100 metres T53 event. [10] He again represented the United States at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships and finished in fourth place in the 800 metres T53 event with a time of 1:41.63. [11]
On June 24, 2021, he was named to Team USA's roster for the 2020 Summer Paralympics. [12] He competed in the 100 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1500 metres, 5000 metres and men's marathon. [13]
Siemann represented the United States at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships and won bronze medals in the 400 metres T53 and 800 metres T53 events. He also participated in the 100 metres T53 event, and finished in fourth place with a time of 15.05. [14]
In July 2024, during the U.S. Paralympic team trials, he qualified to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, winning bronze in the men's T53 400m. [15] [16]
Siemann was born to John and Teresa Siemann. He has an older brother, John, and is a quadruplet with three sisters Amanda, Maria, and Jessica. [4] The quadruplets were born two months premature. At six days old, a doctor left Siemann's umbilical catheter open, which caused him to lose a third of the blood, resulting in spinal shock and paralyzed him from the waist down. [17] [18] Siemann is Catholic. [19]
Christie Dawes is an Australian Paralympic wheelchair racing athlete. She has won three medals in athletics at seven Paralympics from 1996 to 2021.
Joshua George is a Paralympian athlete from the United States competing in category T53 events ranging from sprints to the marathon.

She has also won ten medals at the World Para Athletics Championships and four gold at the Commonwealth Games. De Rozario holds the world record in the Women's 800m T53 and formerly in the Women's 1500m T53/54.
Angela Ballard is an Australian Paralympic athlete who competes in T53 wheelchair sprint events. She became a paraplegic at age 7 due to a car accident.

Rheed McCracken is an Australian Paralympic athletics competitor. He named the 2012 Junior Athlete of the Year as part of the Australian Paralympian of the Year Awards. He represented Australia at the 2012 London Paralympics, 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where he won three silver and two bronze medals. He will be competing at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, his fourth Games.
Michael Roeger is an Australian T46 athletics competitor. He competed at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics athletics in middle distance and marathon running events. He has won one gold, one silver and four bronze medals at the World Para Athletics Championships and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. His gold in the Men's T46 marathon at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships was held as part of the London Marathon, set a new world record. In 2024, he is the holds the world record in the Men's 1500m T46 with a time of 3:36.51 set in 2017. Roeger competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics in the marathon. He has been selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, Paris,France - his fifth Games - in the Men's 1500 m T46.
Brent Lakatos is a Canadian wheelchair racer in the T53 classification. Lakatos has represented Canada at four Summer Paralympics, and at the 2012 Games he won three silver medals in the sprint and mid-distance events. In 2013 Lakatos reached the pinnacle of his sport when he collected four gold medals at the IPC Athletics World Championships and became world champion at his classification in the 100m, 200m and 400m events.
Chelsea McClammer is an American Paralympic athlete with Team USA, she has won two silver medals and one bronze at the 2016 Summer Paralympics.
Catherine Debrunner is a Swiss athlete and teacher. She has competed for Team Switzerland at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships where she won a gold and a silver medal. She won the 2024 London Marathon and set new course records at the 2023 Berlin Marathon, the 2023 Chicago Marathon, and the 2023 New York City Marathon. She won five gold medals at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris including one for the T54 Marathon.
Tomoki Suzuki is a Japanese wheelchair racer, who won the 2020 and 2024 Tokyo Marathons, came second at the 2015, 2018, 2021 and 2023 Tokyo Marathons, and came third at the 2017 Tokyo, 2019 and 2023 London Marathons. Suzuki and won a bronze medal in the mixed 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, and a bronze medal in the marathon T54 event at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
Nathan Maguire is a British wheelchair racer. He won multiple medals at both the 2018 and 2021 World Para Athletics European Championships, and also won the 400 metres mixed class race at multiple British Athletics Championships. Maguire competed in the 4 × 400 metres relay T53/T54 at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, and competed in the 400 metres T54, 800 metres T54 and mixed 4 × 100 metres relay events at the delayed 2020 Summer Paralympics. He was part of the British team that won a silver medal in the 2020 Paralympic mixed 4 × 100 metres relay. He also competed for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and won the 1500 metres T54 event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Aaron Pike is an American athlete who competes in wheelchair racing, biathlon, and cross-country skiing. He has competed at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics, as well as the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Paralympics. Pike finished second at the 2022 Boston Marathon, third at the 2021 and 2022 Chicago Marathons, and fourth at the 2018 and 2019 New York City Marathons as well as the 2021 Boston Marathon. He won multiple medals at the 2023 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships, including winning the 12.5 km seated event.
