Brian Virtue is an American Grammy-nominated music producer, engineer and mixer based in Los Angeles, California. [1] [2] Virtue has worked with artists including Jane's Addiction, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Audioslave, Deftones, Puddle of Mudd, Chevelle, Hawthorne Heights and Crazy Town. [3] In the early 1990s, he began working in recording studios as an audio engineer which later developed into working as a producer. Virtue worked with producer Bob Ezrin on Thirty Seconds to Mars' self-titled album in 2001 and 2002,[ citation needed ] and developed into more work with Ezrin on Jane's Addiction and with Rick Rubin on Audioslave. In 2007, Virtue moved from Los Angeles to Nashville where he worked from his own studio, including recording Chevelle's Sci-Fi Crimes. [4] Virtue also worked on the Jane's Addiction song "Superhero" which is the opening theme to the TV show Entourage. [5] [6]

Mark Linett is an American record producer and audio engineer who is best known for his remixing and remastering of the Beach Boys' catalog. Matt Hyde is an American producer, engineer, mixer and musician. From 1982 to 1985 he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. While still at Berklee in 1984, he obtained an internship at Pyramid Recording Studio in Boston. After two semesters at Berklee, Hyde took a break from classes to tour for the Department of Defense overseas entertainment program, playing guitar and keyboards in several top 40 cover bands that played shows at U.S. military bases in foreign countries throughout Europe and the Pacific. When he returned to the U.S., he began working at recording studios, first in Boston and from 1989 in Los Angeles.

"City of Angels" is a song by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, featured on their fourth studio album Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013). Written by lead vocalist Jared Leto, who co-produced the song with Steve Lillywhite, "City of Angels" was inspired by Leto's experience of living in Los Angeles with his family and was influenced by the city's culture. Imbued with elements of synthrock as well as music from the 1980s, the track was cited as an example of the album's variety and experimentation.
