Contemporary worship music music genre

Contemporary worship music (CWM), also known as praise and worship music, is a defined genre of Christian music used in contemporary worship. It has developed over the past sixty years and is stylistically similar to pop music. The songs are frequently referred to as "praise songs" or "worship songs" and are typically led by a "worship band" or "praise team", with either a guitarist or pianist leading. It has become a common genre of music sung in many churches, particularly in charismatic or non-denominational Protestant churches with some Roman Catholic congregations incorporating it into their mass as well.

Bright City is an English Christian worship collective, based out of St Peter's Church in Brighton, United Kingdom.

Integrity Music is part of the David C Cook nonprofit group. Founded as a direct-to-consumer music club in 1987 as Integrity Music, Integrity was at the forefront of contemporary worship music's widespread popularity of praise and worship music. Integrity publishes many of the top songs in the Church, including "We Believe" (Newsboys). The label has also translated albums into Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Indonesian, Cantonese, Russian, Dutch, French and Portuguese.

Jonathan Andre, giving the album a score of four-out-of-five at 365 Days of Inspiring Media, recommended the album to classical, instrumental and worship music listeners, exclaiming that the album is "a great fusion of modern music sounds with songs that people have heard in Sunday services for years!" [2] Stephen Luff, indicating in a nine square review at Cross Rhythms, concludes, "It is great to hear an album challenging the status quo in the instrumental worship genre which too often in the past has found itself in a rut." [3] At Louder Than The Music, Jono Davies rated the album a perfect five stars, expressing the sentiment that "everything on this album feels so current," and commended Bright City saying, "[they] have taken time to work through these songs and make them their own and have done a wonderful job at that." Bright City Presents: Still, Volume 2 (5 Day Devotional) is an extended play by Bright City released through Integrity Music on music streaming service Spotify. [5] Integrity Music also published a five-day devotional reading plan on Bible.com, [6] where Paul Nelson of Bright City explained:

Extended play musical recording longer than a single, but shorter than a full album

An extended play record, often referred to as an EP, is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single, but is usually unqualified as an album or LP. EPs generally contain a minimum of three tracks and maximum of six tracks, and are considered "less expensive and time-consuming" for an artist to produce than an album. An EP originally referred to specific types of vinyl records other than 78 rpm standard play (SP) and LP, but it is now applied to mid-length CDs and downloads as well.

Spotify Music streaming service

Spotify is a Swedish audio streaming platform that provides DRM-protected music and podcasts from record labels and media companies. As a freemium service, basic features are free with advertisements or automatic music videos, while additional features, such as improved streaming quality, are offered via paid subscriptions.

Taking time each day to be still before God is one of the most life-changing things we can do. Join me on this plan as we acknowledge that the Lord is God over the busyness and battles of daily life. Draw close to hear His whisper, let your soul be quieted by His song of love, and receive His hope at the foot of the cross.
