The British & Irish Lions is a representative rugby union team composed of players eligible for the women's national teams of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. [1] Established in 2024 by Ben Calveley, the CEO of the British & Irish Lions, as the women's counterpart to the men's team of the same name, the side is set to embark on its inaugural international tour to New Zealand in 2027. Contents

The Womens’ Lions Team will include players from the same four rugby union teams that the mens’ team come from —England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. As of October 2025, there have been no confirmed players or coaches for the 2027 tour to New Zealand.

Tours

As of October 2025, there have been no tours for the womens’ team yet. The first tour is scheduled for the summer of 2027 to New Zealand.
