Broadview TV GmbH is a German documentary film production company based in Cologne.

BROADVIEW produces documentaries for broadcast and cable networks in Germany and worldwide, including ZDF, ARD, arte, HBO, A&E, NHK, RTL, as well as for national and international Institutions including the German Foreign Office and the Commission of the European Union. The films have gone on to win the International Emmy® Award, the German Television Award, the Magnolia Award and Banff Television Award.

History

Since its founding in 1999 by Leopold Hoesch, BROADVIEW TV is one of Germany's leading production companies in the fields of history, politics, culture, science and sports for TV stations, cinema distributors and media platforms in Germany and abroad. BROADVIEW TV has produced numerous documentaries for TV and cinema including the ARD-series 'German Dynasties', the arte-series 'TOO young TO DIE' and the ZDF-series 'Theatre Portraits' with Esther Schweins. Under the label Broadview Pictures, the company produced cinema documentaries that include Klitschko, Nowitzki. The Perfect Shot, Who owns nature?, KROOS and Resistance Fighters. Furthermore, Broadview TV also develops and shoots imagefilms for companies and institutions including the German Foreign Office and the European Union. The managing director is Leopold Hoesch. He represents The International Academy Of Television Arts & Industry as Ambassador to Germany.

Together with Guido Knopp and Sebastian Dehnhardt, Hoesch won the Emmy Award for Best Documentary for 'The Drama of Dresden' (2005).

A Day for a Miracle is a 2011 film directed by Andreas Prochaska in 2011 and produced by Rowboat Film- und Fernsehproduktion and Graf Film for public German TV channel ZDF and Austrian ORF. The film is based on real events, telling the story of a three-year-old girl from Austria, who fell into the lake behind her parents' house in 1998, and had been under water for 30 minutes when she was found. Nobody believed she had a chance at survival when the young cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Markus Thalmann takes up the seemingly hopeless fight for the young girl's life. His rescue has written medical history. The screenplay was written by Christoph Silber and Thorsten Wettcke.

The 33rd International Emmy Awards took place on November 21, 2005, at the Hilton Hotel in New York City, United States and hosted by Irish comedian Graham Norton. The International Academy have introduced two new categories for this year’s ceremony; Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress.

Nowitzki. The Perfect Shot is a German documentary film produced by Leopold Hoesch depicting the career of Dirk Nowitzki from the second German Basketball League to the NBA. The films premiered on 16 September 2014 in Cologne.

The Drama of Dresden is a 2005 German television documentary film directed by Sebastian Dehnhardt about the bombing of the city of Dresden in 1945 during World War II.

<i>Resistance Fighters</i> 2019 German TV series or program

Resistance Fighters – The Global Antibiotics Crisis is a documentary film by the German director Michael Wech and producer Leopold Hoesch. It was broadcast on Arte on March 12, 2019 and had its international festival premiere at the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival (CPH:DOX) on March 24, 2019.

Wiedemann & Berg Film is a German film production company founded by Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann in 2003. The company's first movie The Lives of Others won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2007.

Marc Pos is a Dutch creative entrepreneur, writer, director, producer and maker of television, video, theatre, events and advertising. With The Traitors, Pos won the C21 Best World Format in 2021, the Rose d'Or in 2022, a Banff Rockie Award for Competition Series & Game Shows, the National Television Awards 2023, an Emmy, and a BAFTA for Reality & Constructed Factual in 2023.
