Toller Shalitoe Montague Cranston was a Canadian figure skater and painter. He won the 1971–1976 Canadian national championships, the 1974 World bronze medal and the 1976 Olympic bronze medal. Despite never winning at the World Figure Skating Championships due to his poor compulsory figures, he won the small medal for free skating at the 1972 and 1974 championships. Cranston is credited by many with having brought a new level of artistry to men's figure skating.
Stars on Ice is a touring figure skating show produced by IMG. It was co-founded in 1986 by Bob Kain, IMG executive, and Scott Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist in men's figure skating. The production is a theatrical show featuring a small cast of elite skaters who perform together in ensemble as well as solo numbers. Hamilton retired from regular touring in 2001.

The Center Theatre was a theater located at 1230 Sixth Avenue, the southeast corner of West 49th Street in Rockefeller Center in New York City. Seating 3,500, it was originally designed as a movie palace in 1932 and later achieved fame as a showcase for live musical ice-skating spectacles. It was demolished in 1954, the only building in the original Rockefeller Center complex to have been torn down.

High Society is a musical comedy with a book by Arthur Kopit and music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Some updated or new lyrics were provided by Susan Birkenhead. The musical is based on Philip Barry's 1939 stage comedy The Philadelphia Story and the subsequent 1956 musical film adaptation, High Society, which features Porter's songs. The musical includes most of the music featured in the movie, along with several songs selected from other Porter musicals. It premiered on Broadway in 1998 and has since been revived. Another musical adaptation of the story had opened in London in 1987 with a different book by Richard Eyre.

Jeffrey Langdon is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. He is a two-time Canadian national medallist and represented Canada at the 1998 Winter Olympics, where he placed 12th. His highest placement at the World Championships was 8th, in 1998. A member of Rideau Lakes FSC, he was coached by Doug Leigh and Robert Tebby at the Mariposa School of Skating.
An ice show is an entertainment production which is primarily performed by ice skaters. Such shows may primarily be skating exhibitions, or may be musical and/or dramatic in nature, using skating as a medium in order to accompany a musical work or to present a story. The term generally excludes skating competitions in (professional) sports. Many companies produce fixed or touring ice shows, which are then performed for the general public in facilities such as multipurpose arenas or skating rinks which can accommodate spectators, or in theatres with a temporary ice surface installed on the stage. Ice shows are also featured as entertainment in amusement parks and on some large cruise ships.
Wilhelm "Willy" Bietak is an Austrian pair skater and skating event producer. During his career, he competed internationally with partners Evelyne Schneider and Gerlinde Schönbauer, appearing at two Winter Olympics. He was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2009.
Colin Ratushniak is a Canadian professional ice skater and politician who appeared in the TV show Dancing on Ice in 2011, with celebrity skating partner Laura Hamilton. In September 2012, Ratushniak attained a two-year visa and moved to the UK to concentrate on building a career in TV production. In November 2020, he was elected the mayor of the town of La Ronge, Saskatchewan.

Jodi Grace Barnes is a Canadian former pairs skater competing for Canadian Nationals for almost a decade. 1980's Canadian medalists included Jodi Barns and Rob Williams who competed for Canada. With former partner Rob Williams, she made her international debut at the 1987 Junior World ranking 7th in the World. Studied Business at Douglas College in Vancouver. In 1997 Barnes and Williams were selected to represent Canada in the 1997 in Jaca Spain for the World Professional Figure Skating Championships. After Barnes and Williams competitive career they went on tour as principal pairs. Barnes and Williams starred in Holiday on Ice, Feld Entertainment Willy Bietak Productions the leaders in the Ice Show Industry. After William retired Barnes continued pairs skating as a performance director for major ice productions as well as choreographing for international skaters Scarlett Rouzet & Yannick Bonheur and major ice productions. Barnes began her coaching career on the West Coast of the United States in 2008. Barnes is currently coaching at Panthers Figure Skating Club, Panthers Ice Den in Coral Springs, Florida.
Art on Ice is a Swiss figure skating gala. It combines performances of the world's best figure skaters with those of international music stars. The gala takes place annually in Zürich's Hallenstadion, in Lausanne at the Patinoire de Malley, in Basel at the St, Jakobshalle, in St. Moritz and in Davos. The event, which is popular among the population, is also broadcast on television on a time-delayed basis. The event is considered the leading event of its kind in the world.
