Festa on Ice is a figure skating show that IB Sports produced. 2010 Winter Olympic champion Kim Yuna is a former client of IB Sports, which is a sports agency based on Seoul, South Korea. [1]

The 2010 Festa on Ice was held at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea on April 1618, 2010. 2010 FOI was directed by Brian Orser and choreographed by David Wilson.

2009 Festa on Ice

The 2009 Festa on Ice was held at the KINTEX center in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, in South Korea on April 2426, 2009. 2009 FOI was directed by Brian Orser and choreographed by David Wilson and Lho Ji-Hyun. The tickets were sold out in just 20 minutes. [2]

Episode

During the show, all skaters enjoyed a traditional Korean game called "gongginori", which some of the Korean skaters taught to the other skaters.

Programs

The 2009 Festa on Ice was different from other ice shows. FOI installed a large screen and showed video arts for the exhibitions of skaters. Performers of the show presented unique programs such as a battle between B-boys and skaters.

Yuna Kim, the retired South Korean competitive figure skater, also called "Queen Yuna" by figure skating fans and the press, has had an impact on the sport of figure skating, with her skating technique as an athlete and as an Olympic ambassador for both the 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games. She was known for the "lighter-than-air grace in her movements on the ice", as well as her jumps, her speed, and her grounding in the demands of the ISU judging system, as well as her execution of her triple Lutz-triple toe loop combination jump, her "signature" layover camel spin, and her Ina Bauer jump. She trained with several coaches in her career, including Jong-hyun, Brian Orser, and Peter Oppegard. Her main choreographer was David Wilson, who helped her with her presentation skills and musicality. Kim was plagued with injuries throughout her career, which her training team tried to address, especially in the years leading up to the 2014 Olympics.
