Brothers McClurg is an American Christian music brother duo from Buffalo, New York. They started making music in 2008, with their first studio album, Join in the Sound , released in 2012, with Integrity Music. This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts, where it placed on two of them the Christian Albums and Heatseekers Albums.

Background

The Brothers McClurg took their name from their maternal grandfather, who was a pastor, Bill McClurg, while he is the musical impetus for the family and his children, Bill, Jr., Martha and Mary, and his grandchildren, Anthony and Chris Hoisington. [1] The brothers started making music in 2008, in the Buffalo, New York-area, where they caught the attention of a major Christian music record label. [1]

Music history

The brother duo started as a musical entity in 2008, with their first studio album, Join in the Sound , that was released on July 31, 2012, from Integrity Music. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts, where it peaked at No. 36 on the Christian Albums and at No. 22 on the Heatseekers Albums charts. [7]

Omar Jose Navarro, known professionally as Gran Omar, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and record producer. He has received production and writing on credits on various albums between 1996 and 2006 by Ivy Queen his former wife. These albums including En Mi Imperio (1996), The Original Rude Girl (1998), Diva (2003), Real (2004) and Flashback (2005). These albums have been met with commercial and critical success within the Latin community. Several singles from these albums have featured Gran Omar including "Quiero Saber" and "Guillaera" among others. They met while in the all-male hip-hop group "The Noise".

Tony Daniel Frazier, who goes by the stage name Tony Tillman or previously Brothatone, is an American Christian hip hop musician. As Brothatone, he released an EP in 2006, The Gift. As Tony Tillman, Mic Check was released by Reflection Music in 2013, and it is his breakthrough release on the Billboard charts. This album would chart on three Billboard charts Gospel Albums, Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums. His second album, Arise, was released in 2011 with Entertainment One. The album charted three Billboard charts again, this time The Billboard 200, Gospel Albums and Independent Albums. His third album, Withholding Nothing, was released in 2013, with Entertainment One. This album would chart on three charts The Billboard 200, Gospel Albums, and Independent Albums. He was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album, for his third album.

Lisa McClendon is an American jazz-gospel-soul artist. She started her music career, in 2002, with the release of My Diary, Your Life by Shabach Entertainment. Her second album, Soul Music, released in 2003 by Epic Records and Integrity Gospel. This would be her Billboard magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums chart. The third album, Live from the House of Blues, was released in 2006 by Columbia Records alongside Epic Records and Integrity Gospel. The album would chart again, but this time around on the Heatseekers Albums chart as well. She would release an independent album on Blusoul Records in 2009, Reality, and this charted on the Gospel Albums chart. In 2015, she released the long-awaited album 5AM, The Sound of Waking up to Him.

Jonathan Guerra is an American devotional music singer-songwriter. His first record label release was an extended play, Glass, released in 2014 by Essential Records (Sony). His first record label studio album, Little Songs, was released in 2015 through Essential Records. His second release, Keeper of Days, was released in 2020. His third studio album will release in May 2023. He has also recorded for film.

Dustin Ray Smith is an American Christian musician. His first release with Integrity Music was in 2012, You Are the Fire. This album was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine Heatseekers Albums chart. The subsequent release, Rushing Waters, was released in 2013, but this failed to chart. He release, Coming Alive, in 2014, and this charted on the aforementioned chart alongside a charting on the Christian Albums chart.

Fernando Miranda, who goes by Fern and sometimes FERN,F.E.R.N. or Fernie, is a Puerto Rican rapper in the Christian hip hop genre. He is part of the duo Social Club Misfits, together with his partner, Marty Mar. His first EP, 68 and Douglas, was released in 2015. This was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts.
