The Arkansas Razorbacks, also known as the Hogs, are the intercollegiate athletics teams representing the University of Arkansas, located in Fayetteville. The University of Arkansas student body voted to change the name of the school mascot in 1910 to the Arkansas Razorbacks after a hard-fought battle against LSU in which they were said to play like a "wild band of Razorback hogs" by former coach Hugo Bezdek. The Arkansas Razorbacks are the only major sports team in the U.S. with a porcine nickname, though the Texas A&M–Kingsville Javelinas play in Division II.
Roger Kingdom is an American former sprint hurdler who was twice Olympic champion in the 110 meters. Kingdom set a world record of 12.92 in 1989. He is now an athletics coach and strength and conditioning coach who currently works as a speed and conditioning coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.
Michael Lockett Garrett is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL) for eight seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. He played college football for the USC Trojans, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1965.
Clifford Branch Jr. was an American professional football wide receiver who played for the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders during his entire 14-year National Football League (NFL) career. He won three NFL championships with the Raiders in Super Bowl XI, XV, and XVIII. He was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 1972 NFL draft after playing college football for the Colorado Buffaloes. He was posthumously elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022.

The Hoosiers participate in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in 24 sports and became a member of the Big Ten Conference on December 1, 1899. The school's official colors are cream and crimson.
The Eastern Illinois Panthers are the intercollegiate athletic programs of Eastern Illinois University (EIU) located in Charleston, Illinois, United States. The Panthers athletic program competes at the NCAA Division I level and is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). The football team is a member of the Division I FCS Big South–OVC Football Association. EIU's colors are blue and gray. Selected as the team mascot in 1930, EIU's panther was informally known as "Billy" for many years and was officially named "Billy the Panther" in 2008. Panther teams have won five NCAA national championships in three sports. The Panthers also won the 1969 NAIA men's soccer title.
Thomas J. Newberry is an American former professional football player who was a guard for 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played with the Los Angeles Rams for nine years and the Pittsburgh Steelers for one year. He was a starter for the Steelers in Super Bowl XXX. He was a two-time Pro Bowl (1988,1989) and All-Pro offensive guard.

He finished his career with the Ottawa Renegades of the CFL, where he caught 28 passes in 2002.

The Lake Erie Storm are the athletic teams that represent Lake Erie College, located in Painesville, Ohio, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) since the 2017–18 academic year. The Storm previously competed as a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) from 2010–11 to 2016–17; as well as an NCAA D-II Independent from 2008–09 to 2009–10. Prior joining to NCAA Division II, the Storm competed as a member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) of the NCAA Division III ranks from 1997–98 to 2007–08.
David Emmanuel Wilson is an American former professional football player who was a running back for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Wilson played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies, earning second-team All-American honors in 2011. He was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Giants with the 32nd overall pick. He was forced to retire after only two NFL seasons because of a career-ending neck injury.

Karl Anthony Farmer is a former American football wide receiver who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 1976 NFL draft. He first enrolled at Los Angeles Southwest College before transferring to the University of Pittsburgh. Farmer was a 1976 All American for the Pittsburgh Panthers track and field team, finishing runner-up in the 600 yards at the 1976 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
John Francis Helwig was an American football linebacker who played four seasons with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Bears in the eleventh round of the 1950 NFL draft. He played college football at the University of Notre Dame and attended Mount Carmel High School in Los Angeles, California. Helwig was also an All-American shot putter for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish track and field team, placing 8th at the 1949 NCAA Track and Field Championships.
Luther Hayes was an American football player and coach. He played professionally as an end for the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League (AFL) in 1961. Hayes served as the head football coach at Los Angeles City College (LACC) from 1975 to 1977.
