Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Score is a soundtrack album featuring incidental music from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series.

It is the first Buffy CD release which is exclusively dedicated to the TV series' musical score, and features compositions from seasons 2, 3, 4, 5 and season 6 from the episode "Bargaining". The album was released on September 9, 2008. [1]

Note: The first version of Sacrifice appeared on the episode “The Gift”; that version of the song was released on the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More, With Feeling” soundtrack. On this disc there is an “alternate version” of the same song; it seems that this particular version has been used in the “Bargaining” episode. There is some confusion in labeling this track as a consequence.

"This Year's Girl" is the fifteenth episode of the fourth season of the American supernatural drama television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Written by Doug Petrie and directed by Michael Gershman, it originally aired on The WB on February 22, 2000. In the series, Buffy Summers is a Slayer, a teenage girl endowed with superhuman powers to fight evil forces. "This Year's Girl" is the first half of a two-part story arc featuring the return of the rogue Slayer Faith, who Buffy put into a coma in the season three finale. In this episode, Faith wakes up to find that months have passed and the Mayor is dead. She then exacts revenge by swapping bodies with Buffy in a cliffhanger ending.

It maintained its previous timeslot, airing Tuesdays at 8:00 pm ET. Beginning with this season, the character of Angel was given his own series, which aired on The WB following Buffy. Once More, with Feeling is the soundtrack album for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode of the same name. The album features the original series cast performing the songs from the episode, as well as additional music from other popular episodes by regular composer Christophe Beck, including suites from season four episodes "Hush" and "Restless", as well as a score piece from season five episode "The Gift". Also included is a demo track of "Something to Sing About" performed by series creator and album songwriter Joss Whedon and his then-wife Kai Cole. The art for the album, which is also used as cover for related items, such as the script book, the Region 2 DVD and the poster, is by popular comic book artist Adam Hughes. The booklet includes liner notes by Whedon, the lyrics for the numbers, and various pictures from the episode.

Buffering the Vampire Slayer is a podcast about the TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hosted by fans Jenny Owen Youngs and Kristin Russo. Each podcast episode analyzes one episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and concludes with an original song created by Youngs and Russo recapping their analysis. There are also notable interviews featuring actors and collaborators from the series.
