It has, in the past, been used by Leicestershire as an outground and has held 11 first class games in total. The first game took place in 1981 against Nottinghamshire and the last in 1991 against Gloucestershire.

Pen-y-Pound is a cricket ground in Abergavenny, Wales. It is the home of Abergavenny Cricket Club, who play in the South Wales Cricket League. The ground was first used by the Glamorgan 1st XI in 1981 for limited over matches and in 1983 for County Championship matches. Between 1985 and 1997, the ground hosted a County Championship match annually. However, Glamorgan have only used the ground twice since then.

Park Road is a cricket ground in Buxton, Derbyshire, England. It is the home ground of Buxton Cricket Club, and was formerly used by the Derbyshire County Cricket Club first XI between 1923 and 1986. The first First-class match on the ground was in June 1923, when Derbyshire faced the touring West Indians. The ground’s biggest claim to fame was in 1975, when the second day’s play of the County Championship match against Lancashire was wiped out due to snow. Derbyshire generally played one County Championship match at Buxton every year from 1930 to 1976, but have only played there four times since. The most recent first-class match was in August 1986 against Lancashire, who have provided the opposition for 26 of the 48 first-class games at the ground. The ground also hosted ten Derbyshire List A fixtures between 1969 and 1986.

The Derbyshire first XI played at the ground regularly between 1925 and 1994, with the ground hosting at least one County Championship match - and sometimes as many as three or four – each year until 1978. The ground also saw John Player League matches in the 1970s. The ground hosted 93 first-class matches and 16 List A matches.

The first recorded match on the ground was in 1983, when Loughborough Students played Exeter University in the quarter finals of the University Athletics Union Championship. The ground held two Women's One Day Internationals in 2008, when England women played West Indies women in both matches, and hosted a single first class match in 2011 between Loughborough MCCU and Northamptonshire.

The first county match held at the ground came in 1882 when Warwickshire played Staffordshire, although this match was not first-class. Warwickshire used the ground for first-class cricket from 1925 to 1930, playing the final first-class match held at the ground against Hampshire. The site is today occupied by buildings.
