Massive Attack are an English trip hop collective formed in 1988 in Bristol by Robert "3D" Del Naja, Adrian "Tricky" Thaws, Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles and Grant "Daddy G" Marshall.
Ramble Jon Krohn, better known by his stage name RJD2, is an American musician and record producer based in Columbus, Ohio. He is the owner of record label RJ's Electrical Connections. He has been a member of groups such as Soul Position, MHz Legacy, and Icebird. His stage name derives from the popular Star Wars droid R2-D2.

Adam Freeland is an English record producer and DJ. He is also the owner and creative director of the record label Marine Parade, which has released material by artists including Evil Nine, ILS, Alex Metric and Jape. Born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, he first began DJing in 1991, originally mixing deep house and later drum and bass. After becoming an in-demand DJ around Britain, he released his first mix album Coastal Breaks (1996) and formed the electronic music duo Tsunami One with Kevin Beber. From 1999 to 2001, Freeland hosted a show on Friday night on London's Kiss 100 FM. In 2000, he released his debut studio album, Now & Them.
Danse Macabre Remixes is the second remix album by the indie rock band The Faint, with remixes from their 2001 album Danse Macabre. It was released on April 1, 2003. There is also a special triple vinyl edition featuring a bonus remix of the track Violent by local Omaha, Nebraska artist, Adam Willis.

"Club Foot" is a song by English indie rock band Kasabian, featured on their 2004 debut album, Kasabian. It was released on 10 May 2004 in the UK. The video of this song, directed by W.I.Z., is dedicated to Czech student Jan Palach who in 1969 set himself on fire in protest against renewed Soviet suppression of Czechoslovakia. The video also refers to the Soviet government's intervention in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 on a banner showing the text in Hungarian, which translates as "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty". The scene with the inspector girl who stands before the tank harks back to the young man who stood in front of the line of tanks in 1989 in Tiananmen Square, which itself has become an icon for resistance.

Sinking is the second studio album by British electronica band The Aloof, released by East West Records in the United Kingdom on 27 May 1996. Following the rave-influenced style of the group's debut album Cover the Crime (1994), Sinking brought the band into a darker, more mellow direction, as the result of the group's desire to deliver a "band" feel, aided by the members' newfound disillusionment with club culture. The record fuses styles of techno, dub, trip hop and jungle music and incorporates string arrangements and sombre lyrics.
