The Politics of Andhra Pradesh take place in the context of a bicameral parliamentary system within the Constitutional framework of India. The main parties in the state are the Telugu Desam Party (TDP),Janasena Party (JSP),and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Other parties that have small presence in the state include the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),Indian National Congress (INC),and Left parties,including both Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (CPI).
Nimma Raja Reddy,also spelled in the media as Nimma Raji Reddy,,was an Indian politician and a MLA Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for three decades from Cheriyal constituency. He also served as a Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Bhuma Nagi Reddy was an Indian politician. He was elected in a by-election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1992 after the sudden death of his brother,Bhuma Sekhar Reddy,an MLA from Allagadda constituency in Kurnool district. In 1996,Reddy was the Telugu Desam Party candidate against Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao in the Nandyal Lok Sabha constituency election. He served in the 11th,12th and 13th Lok Sabhas. Reddy died in office on 12 March 2017 after a massive heart attack at his home in Allagadda.

Samaikya Andhra Movement was a movement organized to keep the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh united,and to prevent the division of the state - separating the Telangana districts of the state into a separate Telangana state. The movement was supported by government employees,advocates in Coastal Andhra &Rayalaseema regions along with students from 14 universities,various occupational,caste &religious groups of Coastal Andhra &Rayalaseema regions. Nandyala Varada Rajulu Reddy is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He is the MLA of Proddatur in Kadapa district from Telugu Desam Party. He won as MLA for Proddatur Assembly Constituency five times in a row from 1985 election to 2004 election. In 2009 Assembly election,he was defeated by Mallela Linga Reddy but he regained the seat on Telugu Desam Party ticket in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. The Telangana protests 2004-2010 refers to the movements and agitations related to the Telangana movement that took place between the years 2004 and 2010. For the 2004 Assembly and Parliament elections,the Congress party and the TRS had an electoral alliance in the Telangana region to consider the demand of separate Telangana State. However,again in 2006,the then Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy categorically said that the state would remain united. This again resulted in statewide protests. In 2009,Union Minister of Home Affairs P. Chidambaram announced that the Indian government would start the process of forming a separate Telangana state,pending the introduction and passage of a separation resolution in the Andhra Pradesh assembly after an 11-day fast by K. Chandrashekar Rao. This again resulted in protests across both Andhra and Rayalseema as in a short time of the Home Minister's declaration,MLAs from the Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions submitted their resignations in protest.
Payyavula Keshav is a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh representing the Uravakonda constituency of Anantapur. He is associated with the Telugu Desam Party and contested as an MLA six times from Uravakonda Assembly Constituency in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. He is currently serving as the cabinet minister in the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi (RPS) is a regional political party in the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with the main aim of creating a new state,Rayalaseema. The party was founded by former Telugu Desam Party leader Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy in 2013 to champion the cause for a separate Rayalaseema state after the resolution passed on 30 July 2013 to carve out the state of Telangana from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh.

Gowru Charitha Reddy is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh,India. She is the current member of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh representing Panyam. Earlier,she served as a MLA from Nandikotkur constituency (2004-2009) and Panyam constituency (2014-2019). She was also a member of Women and Child welfare committee of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. She left the Indian National Congress party and joined the newly formed YSR Congress Party. Her husband,Gowru Venkata Reddy is also a political leader.
Andhra Pradesh,retrospectively referred to as United Andhra Pradesh,and Undivided Andhra Pradesh,was a state in India formed by States Reorganisation Act,1956 with Hyderabad as its capital and was reorganised by Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act,2014. The state was made up of three distinct cultural regions of Telangana,Rayalaseema,and Coastal Andhra. Before the 1956 reorganisation,Telangana had been part of Hyderabad State,whereas Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra had been part of Andhra State,formerly a part of Madras Presidency ruled by British India.
The Andhra Pradesh Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Act,2020 is an act of Andhra Pradesh Legislature aimed at the decentralisation of governance in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The bill was proposed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish three capitals at different places in the state namely Visakhapatnam,Amaravati,and Kurnool,which will serve as executive,legislative and judicial capitals respectively.

Byreddy Shabari is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. She was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha from Nandyal Lok Sabha constituency in Nandyal district representing Telugu Desam Party. She won the 2024 Indian general election in Andhra Pradesh with a margin of 111,975 votes.
