CCTV.com is a news media platform under China Central Television (CCTV). It is operated by CCTV International Network Co.,Ltd. It provides live broadcasts and on-demand programming of all CCTV channels and provincial satellite and terrestrial channels in mainland China. It is also the official website of CCTV.
In December 1996,CCTV.COM was established and put into trial operation. It is one of the earliest websites in China to publish Chinese information. On July 1,2010,CCTV.com was fully integrated into China Network Television. [1]
In February 2017,CCTV established the "CCTV Zone" to serve as an interactive platform for radio and television networks and cable television in various parts of the country. [2] This has been completed in most parts of the country this year. In February 2018,the "CCTV Zone" for 4K cable interactive TV was launched online. [3]
On February 19,2019,CCTV.com changed its layout. Starting from September 27 of the same year,China National Radio and China International Online (China Radio International),both of which belong to China Media Group,also changed their layouts. The styles of the three websites after the revision are roughly the same. [4]
Users outside the People's Republic of China can access the website to watch and read all China Central Television live broadcasts and news information (except for some sports events and film and television dramas). [5]
CCTV Search is a search engine service launched by CCTV.com on January 14,2010. Initially,CCTV Search provided five search services:"video","webpage ","news","image",and "blog". [6] Currently,CCTV Search only supports video and webpage searches. [7]
