Clubul Sportiv Muncitoresc Borzești, commonly known as CSM Borzești was a Romania football club from Onești, Bacău County. In 1994 the club merged with Electromecon Onești to form FC Onești. [2]

CSM Borzești was founded 1975 [3] after the merger of Știința Bacău with CAROM Onești, the first one being absorbed by the second one. After the merge, CAROM was moved to Borzești, a village (now part of Onești) and renamed as CSM Borzești. [4]

Știința Bacău was a Romanian football team located in Bacău, founded in 1965 and dissolved in 1975. The team represented the football section of the multi-sport club CS Știința Bacău, which also include athletics, women's handball, men's handball, women's and men's volleyball sections.

It is organized by the County Football Association and is competed amongst 24 teams divided into 2 series, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off.
