C is a restaurant in Tampere, Finland, selected as restaurant of the year in early 2011. [1] The restaurant received recognition especially for quality ingredients, food preparation according to seasons and good matching between food and wine. [2] [3]

The restaurant is located right west from the Tampere Central Station in the district of Kyttälä. [4] [5] The chief cook of C is Ilkka Isotalo and the sommelier is Christina Suominen. Restaurant Perla was previously located at the same address. [2] [3]

Särkänniemi (district) City district in Tampere, Finland

Särkänniemi is a district of the city centre of Tampere, Finland, located on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi, north of the districts of Amuri and Finlayson. The most famous sights of the district are Näsinneula and Särkänniemi Amusement Park, but in addition to that, the district also houses the Haarla's old paper mill building. The Amuri railway stop has also ceased operations in Särkänniemi. The Särkänniemi district also includes the Siilinkari islet in Lake Näsijärvi. Särkänniemi is bordered on the south by Paasikivenkatu, on the other side of which is the Amuri district, and on the west by the Santalahti district. The district includes the Onkiniemi residential area.

Itsenäisyydenkatu is an east–west street in the center of Tampere, Finland. It is a significant street connection in the city center of Tampere in terms of transport connections, as it leads from Tampere's railway station to the Liisankallio district in the Tammela district. On the west side of the station, the street continues as the Hämeenkatu street, at its eastern end it meets Kalevan puistokatu, branching into Teiskontie and Sammonkatu. Tulli, Tampere City district in Tampere, Finland

Tulli is a district in the center of Tampere, Finland. It takes its name from the Customs House (Tullikamari) completed in 1901 and the associated Pakkahuone packing house. Due to the proximity of the railway yard, storage, office and production facilities were built in the area from the end of the 19th century. A town plan was established for the area in 1900.

Siipiweikot is a Finnish restaurant chain founded in 1993 specialising in hot chicken wings, spicy sauces, french fries and beer. Like is a shopping center located in Lielahti, Tampere, Finland. The shopping center has an internal connection to the adjacent Prisma hypermarket. A special feature of the center is mentioned that the city services and commercial services operate in the same building. The first two floors have specialty shops for fashion and leisure, as well as cafés and restaurants. The top floor of the shopping center houses the public services of the city of Tampere: a library, a health center, a dental clinic, a maternity and children's clinic, as well as a service center for the elderly and a day center. There is a total of about 13,200 square meters of business and service space. About 90% of the space has been leased in the opening phase.

Vuores

Vuores is an area located on the border of Tampere and Lempäälä in the Pirkanmaa region, Finland. Each municipality is building in its own area, but a partial master plan has been drawn up in co-operation. On the Tampere side, construction began in 2010. The area is diverse in terms of terrain and nature, and there are numerous lakes. In the 2019 agglomeration delimitation, Vuores formed its own urban area with an area of 3,03 km2. The urban area had 5,355 inhabitants and was the second most densely populated urban area in Finland with a population density of 1,767 inhabitants/km2.

Näsilinna

Näsilinna is a neo-baroque palace on Näsikallio in Tampere, Finland. It was built by Peter von Nottbeck, son of Wilhelm von Nottbeck, a St. Petersburg-based industrial manager of Finlayson. The original name of the palace, completed in 1898, was Milavida. The building was designed by architect Karl August Wrede. The true meaning and history of the name Milavida is unknown.

Lentävänniemi

Lentävänniemi is a district in the western part of Tampere on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi in Pirkanmaa, Finland. It belongs to the northwestern part of the city and borders the Niemi and Niemenranta borders on the southwest. There are jogging paths along the lake and its shores surrounding the apartment-based Lentävänniemi. In 2014, the population of Lentävänniemi was 4,309.

Laukontori

Laukontori is a market square in the southern part of the city center of Tampere, Finland, on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi. It is located just a few hundred meters from Tampere Central Square. Square's beach serves as a harbor for cruise ships to the Viikinsaari island and the city of Hämeenlinna in the summer.

Posteljooninpuisto

Posteljooninpuisto is a French formal garden style park built in the 1930s in central Tampere, Finland, at the corner of Rautatienkatu and Itsenäisyydenkatu. At the corner of the park is the former head post office of Tampere. The park is also internally connected to the Tampere railway station located next to it, which the Finnish Heritage Agency has classified as a significant cultural environment. The park is owned by the city of Tampere.

Pyynikinrinne

Pyynikinrinne is a district of Tampere, Finland. It is located west of the city center. Pyynikinrinne is bordered on the south by the Pyynikki Esker nature reserve, on the north by Pirkankatu and on the east by Mariankatu. The western boundary of the district is the former border between Tampere and Pohjois-Pirkkala municipalities. The neighboring parts of the city are Pyynikki, Ylä-Pispala, Amuri, partly Särkänniemi and Kaakinmaa.

Kaakinmaa

Kaakinmaa is a district in Tampere, Finland, located in the city center. It includes the area south of Pyynikki Church Park between the Hämeenpuisto park and the Mariankatu street. To the south, the area extends to Eteläpuisto on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi. The neighboring parts of the city are Nalkala in the east, Amuri in the north and Pyynikki and Pyynikinrinne in the west. Sometimes Kaakinmaa is incorrectly considered to belong to Pyynikki and Pyynikinrinne; however, Kaakinmaa has its own district.

It is a four-lane highway owned by the Finnish state and part of Highway 12. Paasikiven–Kekkosentie is located between the Nokia's motorway and the Teiskontie street junction.

Koivistonkylä

Koivistonkylä is a district located in the southern part of Tampere, Finland. It borders Nekala in the north, Rautaharkko in the west, Taatala in the south and Veisu in the east. Many ice hockey players from Tampere come from Koivistonkylä, including Raimo Helminen. Koivistonkylä also has its own amateur ice hockey club called Koivistonkylän Chiefs.
