Caden Luis Cunningham (born 7 May 2003) is a British taekwondo practitioner. He competes in the + 87kg Heavyweight division. [2]
Cunningham is from Huddersfield, Yorkshire. [3] He attended King James's School, Almondbury. He trained at Quest Taekwondo [4] as a youngster.
Cunningham was a precocious talent winning his first overseas Taekwondo title in Germany, aged twelve years-old. He was subsequently selected to represent Europe at the Children's Taekwondo Union Europe/Asia Challenge in 2016. [5]
Cunningham become the British Cadet taekwondo champion at the national finals in Manchester in 2017, winning the male −49kg category. He was subsequently selected to represent Great Britain at the European Championships in Hungary later that year. [6]
In his opening fight of the 2022 World Championships he injured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee but still won the bout, although he missed several months of competitive action after the tournament. [7]
Cunningham won the +80 kg division at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix held at the Foro Italico, Rome in June 2023. He defeated Nikita Rafalovich of Uzbekistan in the final. [8] [9] That month he was also announced in the British squad to take part in the 2023 European Games held in Kraków. [10] Cunningham won the gold medal at the Games in the Men's +87 kg division. [11]
In June 2024, he was selected for the 2024 Paris Olympics. [12] Cunningham won the silver medal in the men's 80+Kg category. [13]

Aaron Arthur Cook is a taekwondo athlete who has represented Great Britain, the Isle of Man, and Moldova. He has been ranked the number one in the men's −80 kg division on several occasions. He is three-times a European champion having won the −80 kg title at the European Taekwondo Championships in 2010, 2012 representing Great Britain and 2014 representing the Isle of Man, and was the world junior champion in the −78 kg division in 2008.
Jade Louise Jones is a Welsh taekwondo athlete. She is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic gold medallist in the women's 57 kg category, and the 2019 World champion, 2016, 2018 and 2021 European champion and both 2015 European Games and 2023 European Games champion at the same weight, the only double gold medalist at her weight in the history of those Games. In 2012, she won Britain's first taekwondo Olympic gold medal. Jones was at the time the reigning Youth Olympic champion in the girls' 55 kg category, winning gold for Great Britain in 2010.
Bianca Cook, also known as Bianca Walkden, is an English taekwondo athlete and Olympian. She is three-times a World champion, twice World Grand Prix champion, four-times a European champion and a double Olympic medallist.
Lutalo Muhammad is a British retired taekwondo athlete who represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal. He won the gold medal in the −87 kg class at the 2012 European Taekwondo Championships. He is the most successful male in British taekwondo history.
Carl Hester is a British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 8 August 2012, the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) rank him 12th in the world riding Uthopia. In 2012, Hester formed part of the Great Britain Dressage team that won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin is a British dressage rider, equestrian, and writer. A multiple World and Olympic champion, Dujardin has been described as the dominant dressage rider of her era. She held the complete set of available individual elite dressage titles at one point: the individual Olympic freestyle, World freestyle and Grand Prix Special, World Cup individual dressage and European freestyle, and Grand Prix Special titles. Zharnel Hughes is an Anguilla-born British sprinter who specialises in the 100 metres and 200 metres. Born and raised in the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla, he has competed internationally for Great Britain in the Olympic Games, World Athletics and European Athletics events, and for England at the Commonwealth Games, since 2015. A double Commonwealth Games, double European Championships gold medalist as part of the 4 x 100 metres relay, Hughes has twice been European champion individually; over 100 metres in 2018, and 200 metres in 2022. In 2023, he broke both British sprint records, before winning his first global individual medal, a bronze in the 100 metres at the 2023 World championships.
Panipak "Tennis" Wongpattanakit is a retired Thai taekwondo athlete. A two-time Olympic champion, she is currently the top-ranked athlete in the women's 49 kg.
Mahama Cho is a taekwondo practitioner who competes in the +87 kg category. Born in the Ivory Coast, he has represented both Great Britain and France in the sport.
Marcus Ellis is a British badminton player. He was the men's doubles champion in the English National Championships. Ellis and Chris Langridge won a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, also gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. At the 2019 Minsk European Games, Ellis captured two gold medals; in the men's doubles with Langridge and in the mixed doubles event with Lauren Smith.
Lois Mae Toulson is a British diver. A specialist in the 10 metre platform, she won the gold medal at the inaugural European Games in 2015, and the senior European title in 2017. She competed in the women's synchronized ten metre platform event at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Tonia Couch and she won bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics in same category with Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix. Jordan Thomas is a British karateka. In 2016, he became the first British Karate World Champion in 12 years, since Paul Newby's gold medal in 2004. Thomas was also the first British World Games Finalist in 16 Years, the last being Jason Ledgister in 2001. His first major title, in 2014, made him the first British European Karate Champion in 8 years. He is the son of William Thomas who won the 1992 World Karate Championships.
Bradly John Sinden is a British Taekwondo athlete who won gold at the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships, becoming the first British male World Taekwondo champion.

Chelsie Giles is a British judoka. She won the gold medal in the women's 52 kg event at the 2022 European Judo Championships held in Sofia, Bulgaria. She won one of the bronze medals in her event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Giles' medal was the first awarded to Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Rebecca McGowan is a Scottish taekwondo practitioner. She is twice a medalist in the women's +73 kg event at the World Taekwondo Championships. She is also three-times a medalist, including gold, in this event at the European Taekwondo Championships.
Great Britain, the team of the British Olympic Association (BOA) which represents the United Kingdom, competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024. The delegation of 327 athletes included 172 women and 155 men and featured 73 medallists from previous Games. The team was made up of athletes from the whole United Kingdom including Northern Ireland. Additionally some British overseas territories compete separately from Britain in Olympic competition.
