Biography

Falquez was born in Mexico City and raised in Barcelona, Spain by immigrant Colombian parents. [1] She later emigrated to New York, United States at the age of 21, [2] and has since been based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. [3] Falquez grew up in her mother's art studio and traveled with her to major European museums. [1]

Falquez’s photography showcase the power and beauty within marginalized communities and BIPOC bodies. Falquez’s work further extends to photographing subjects from a range of gender and sexual identities. [4]
