Camilla Katrina Arfwedson (pronounced Arvedson; born 16 October 1981) is an English actress. She is known for her roles as Zosia March, a Core Training (year 2) Doctor in Holby City and being the poster woman for Secret Escapes from 2012-2013.
Born in Westminster, London, to a Swedish father and English mother, Arfwedson was brought up in Chelsea and attended the Francis Holland School as a day girl. [2] She then studied Classics at the University of Edinburgh.[ citation needed ] There, she joined the theatre society, and gained parts in the stage plays: Sore Throats and A Slight Ache both directed by Thom Tuck; Skylight directed by Michael Sophocles; Private Lives directed by Frederic Wake-Walker; Bedroom Farce directed by Simon Yadoo; the speaker in the Vagina Monologues directed by Alice Russell. Becoming a professional actress upon graduation, Arfwedson has since worked mainly in the theatre, including Portia in the Merchant of Venice , the first touring production of Festen , and the role of Evelyn in the Barons Court Theatre production of Neil LaBute's The Shape of Things directed by Ed Behrens. Arfwedson's television roles have included parts in Law & Order: UK and Agatha Christie's Marple: Murder Is Easy . Her film roles have included playing Lady Charlotte in The Duchess , and playing Burt Reynolds' daughter in the British comedy film A Bunch of Amateurs . [4]
In 2012, Arfwedson starred in a television commercial for travel website Secret Escapes. Follow-up adverts were also released in 2013. [5] She played Sheriff Angela Carter in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines , and in 2013, appeared in the second episode of BBC Three sitcom Way to Go , before joining the cast of BBC One medical drama Holby City .
In 2018, Arfwedson played the young Mrs Ayres in Lenny Abrahamson's film version of the novel The Little Stranger ; [6] the later life Mrs Ayres was played in the film by Charlotte Rampling. [7]

Zosia March is a fictional character from the BBC medical drama Holby City, played by actress Camilla Arfwedson. She first appeared in the series fifteen episode "The Kick Inside", broadcast on 10 September 2013. Zosia arrives at Holby City hospital to start her first year of the Foundation Programme. She has a vested interest in psychiatry and has worked on both Darwin and Keller wards mentored by Elliot Hope and Sacha Levy respectively. She is characterised as a forthright, intelligent and unafraid to challenge the hospital hierarchy. The show soon introduced Zosia's estranged father, Guy Self. They share a dysfunctional relationship following the death of her mother. Their feud jeopardises Zosia's career and on one occasion she is thrown off Keller following a rude confrontation. Other storylines revolve around close colleagues Arthur Digby and Dominic Copeland and romances with Sebastian Coulter and Oliver Valentine, whom she later married.
Jesse Law is a fictional character from the BBC medical drama Holby City, played by actor Don Gilet. He first appeared in the series sixteen episode "Battle Lines", broadcast on 22 April 2014. Jesse arrives at Holby City employed as a Consultant Anaesthetist working on the hospital's Keller ward. The show created a rich backstory for the character meaning he already knew three regular characters Guy Self, Zosia March and Colette Sheward. Jesse and Guy share a professional history and close friendship as it was Guy who mentored Jesse after noticing his talent. He is characterised as a flirtatious, confident and cocky character. Professionally he is a highly skilled anaesthetist and possesses a strong bedside manner. His lack of humbleness has also created animosity with other characters.
The Little Stranger is a 2018 gothic drama film directed by Lenny Abrahamson and written by Lucinda Coxon, based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Sarah Waters. The film stars Domhnall Gleeson, Ruth Wilson, Will Poulter and Charlotte Rampling. Set in 1948, the plot follows a doctor who visits an old house where his mother used to work, only to discover it may hold a dark secret. The film was released in the United Kingdom on 21 September 2018 and in the United States on 31 August 2018, by Focus Features, receiving positive reviews from critics.
"Veil of Tears – Part One" is the fiftieth episode of the nineteenth series of the British medical drama television series Holby City. The episode was written by Joe Ainsworth and directed by Jan Bauer, and premiered on BBC One on 19 September 2017. The episode features the wedding of established characters Zosia March and Oliver Valentine, who both work on the show's fictitious Darwin ward. It formed the first of a two-part collective of episodes leading up to Arfwedson's departure from the series. The episode also featured Zosia's father Guy Self ruining her wedding day, getting drunk and falling on a shard of glass. Other characters battle in the operating theatre to save his life. While registrar Dominic Copeland and nurse Ben "Lofty" Chiltern sleep together forming part of their ongoing gay storyline.
