The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) are an annual award ceremony to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievement and emerging talent in Canadian fashion. The awards were established to encourage the economic development of the Canadian fashion industry and endorse Canadian cultural sovereignty. [1] [2] The event started in January 2014. [3]

The awards include: Womenswear Designer of the Year, Menswear Designer of the Year, The Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Fashion, The Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Accessories, The Outstanding Achievement Award, Accessory Designer of the Year, The Sephora Image Maker Award, The Hudson's Bay International Canadian Designer of the Year Award, Yorkdale Stylist of the Year, Model of the Year, and Fashion Blogger of the Year. Members of the jury in 2015 included philanthropist Suzanne A. Rogers, VP of Holt Renfrew Lisa Tant, VP & buying director of The Room, The BAY Nicholas Mellamphy, editor-in-chief of Elle Canada Noreen Flanagan, Coco Rocha, chair and associate professor at Ryerson University Robert Ott, and executive director of the Toronto Fashion Incubator Susan Langdon. Award winners have included Coco Rocha, Beaufille, Marie Saint Pierre, Philippe Dubuc, Mikhael Kale, Jerome C. Rousseau, Sid Neigum, Tommy Ton, Erdem Moralioğlu, Zeina Esmail, Anais Pouliot, Jeremy Laing, DSQUARED, and Joe Mimran. [7] [8]

Greta Constantine is a line of women's wear designed by Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The label is a pairing of the names of Wong's mother, Greta, and Pickersgill's grandfather, Constantine. The two have been dubbed "jersey boys of Toronto" for the jersey they use for their collections. The first collection, was carried by the Canadian department store Holt Renfrew.

Project Accessory is an American reality television series, a spin-off of the series Project Runway. It began airing on Lifetime on October 28, 2011. On the show, 12 contestants were given challenges in which they must create various fashion accessories with restrictions for materials, subject matter, and time. One or more contestants were eliminated each episode after appearing before a judging panel. Brian Burkhardt won the show and the $100,000 prize.

Beaufille is a Canadian fashion label specializing in fashion, jewelry and accessories for women. Beaufille is a nonsensical French word meaning “handsome girl,” or “one who presents an effortless chic demeanor.” The brand symbolizes the marriage of masculine and feminine and an allusion to their French names and heritage.

Nadja Lyn Swarovski is an Austrian-American businesswoman. She joined the Swarovski family company in 1995, 100 years after it was founded by her great-great-grandfather Daniel Swarovski in 1895 in Wattens, Austria. She was the first female member of the executive board, and led the global brand strategy and communications of the business, which turned over approximately €3.5 billion in 2017. She served as the Chair of the Swarovski Foundation and headed the global Swarovski Waterschool program. She stepped down from the company at the end of December 2021.
