Canadian Western Agribition, otherwise known as simply Agribition, is an annual agricultural trade show held at Evraz Place in Regina, Saskatchewan, typically held during the last week of November.
The show won the 2013 and 2015 Saskatchewan Tourism Award of Excellence for Event of the Year.[ citation needed ]
The first Agribition show was held in Regina from November 30 to December 3, 1971, and has taken place every year since. Chris Sutter of Redvers, Saskatchewan was the first president of Canadian Western Agribition. Bill Small of Craven, Saskatchewan was the show's first vice-president. A book which chronicled the first 29 years of the show, titled Agribition, was published in 1990.
Agribition was to celebrate its 50th year in 2020; it was scheduled to be delayed slightly in order to accommodate the 108th Grey Cup, which was to be hosted by nearby Mosaic Stadium. [1] The event was cancelled and replaced by a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2] [3]
Agribition returned as an in-person event with virtual components in 2021; organizers projected attendance to have been just over 85,000, a decrease from the 121,000 who attended in 2019. Organizers cited COVID-19 protocols (including Saskatchewan's proof of vaccination rules), a lack of school visitors, and reduced international attendance as factors in the decline, but noted that there was increased interest in its online content. The 2022 show will again be scheduled later than usual due to the Grey Cup. [4] [5]

The CFL Combine is a three-day program in which athletes from Canadian universities and Canadians in the NCAA are scouted by general managers, coaches and scouts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The goal of the camp is for the nine CFL franchises to have a better idea of whom they would like to draft in the CFL draft which usually takes place roughly six weeks after the camp. The first combined Evaluation Camp took place in 2000 in Toronto and continued every year in Toronto until 2016 when it was announced that Regina, Saskatchewan would host the combine in 2017. It was also suggested that the league will begin rotating the Combine hosts every year. Winnipeg hosted in 2018 and the event returned to Toronto with the hiatus of the CFL Week event.
Mosaic Stadium is an open-air stadium at REAL District in Regina, Saskatchewan. Announced on July 12, 2012, the stadium replaced Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field as the home field of the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders. It was designed by HKS, Inc., in joint venture with B+H, the architects of record. Preliminary construction on the new stadium began in early 2014, and it was declared "substantially complete" on August 31, 2016. The stadium is owned by the city of Regina and operated by the Regina Exhibition Association Ltd. (REAL).
