Candice Clark is an American former slalom canoeist who competed in the 1970s. She was once married to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Clark is the daughter of Louise Clark, owner of the Lafayette hillside memorial. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 1979 with a degree in business administration.[ citation needed ] She is now married to Ronald J. Kauffman.
Candice Clark was a member of the 1976 US Olympic Team; Canoeing in Montreal.
Clark won a gold medal in the K-1 Slalom team event at the 1973 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Muotathal and a silver medal in the Wildwater team event in the ICF Canoe World Championships. [1] She was a member of the 1974 US Flatwater Kayak World Championship Team in Mexico City. She was a member of the 1975 US Whitewater Kayak World Championship Team in Spital, Austria. Clark was a member of the 1977 US Whitewater Kayak World Championship Team in Skopja, Yugoslavia.
Clark won gold in the 1974 US Slalom Kayak National Championships in Buena Vista, Colorado. She was silver medalist in the 1974 Kayak Wildwater National Championships. She won the 1974 K2 Flatwater Kayak National Championships. She won the 1974 Flatwater North American Championships in Toronto, Canada. She won the 1974 Spital, Austria K-1 Slalom Regional Championships. She was the only person to win both the slalom and flatwater Kayak National Championships in the same year.
Clark married Wozniak in June 1981. In 1987 Wozniak filed for divorce. They have three children. [2] Their daughter, Sara Clark, is a lawyer for the US Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colorado.[ citation needed ]
Wildwater canoeing is a competitive discipline of canoeing in which kayaks or canoes are used to negotiate a stretch of river speedily. It is also called "Whitewater racing" or "Downriver racing" to distinguish it from whitewater slalom racing and whitewater rodeo or Freestyle competition.
Canoe slalom is a competitive sport with the aim to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging downstream or upstream gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible. As a permanent resident of the United States, he has competed for his country of residence since 2013. He represented France until 2011. He won two medals at the Summer Olympics in the K1 event with a silver in 2008 and a bronze in 2004. He has a son called Noe Lefèvre.
Dana Chladek is a Czechoslovak slalom kayaker who later become a naturalized American. She competed from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, she won two medals in the K1 event with a silver in 1996 and a bronze in 1992.
The 1965 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships were held in Spittal an der Drau, Austria under the auspices of International Canoe Federation for the second time in a row after hosting the event previously in 1963. It was the 9th edition. It also marked some changes in which the folding kayak events were replaced by standard kayaks for the men's and women's events. Additionally, the mixed C2 team event returned for the first time since 1957.
The 2010 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships were held 8–12 September 2010 at Tacen Whitewater Course, Slovenia under the auspices of International Canoe Federation for the record-tying third time. It was the 33rd edition. Tacen hosted the event previously in 1955 and 1991 when it was part of Yugoslavia, and joins the following cities that have hosted the event three times: Spittal, Austria ; Meran, Italy ; Bourg St.-Maurice, France ; and Augsburg, Germany. Women's single canoe (C1W) events became a medal event after being an exhibition in the previous championships.
Richard Alfred Weiss, known as Rich Weiss, was a West German-born, American slalom kayaker who competed from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. He won a silver medal in the K1 event at the 1993 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Mezzana.

Sébastien Combot is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2005.
Jiřina Valenta is a retired Czechoslovak-American wildwater and slalom canoeist who competed from the early 1960s to the early 1970s with then-husband Josef Šedivec under the last name Šedivcová. She won two silver medals at the 1965 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Spittal, earning them in the C2 Mixed and C2 Mixed Team events. She also won a silver medal in the individual C2 Mixed Whitewater Downriver event and a gold medal in the C2 Mixed Team Whitewater Downriver event at the 1965 ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championships, likewise held in Spittal.
Josef Šedivec is a retired Czechoslovak-American wildwater and slalom canoeist who competed from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. He two silver medals at the 1965 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Spittal, earning them in the mixed C-2 event and the mixed C-2 team event. She also won a silver medal in the individual C-2 Downriver event and a gold medal in the C-2 team mixed Downriver event at the 1965 Wildwater Canoeing World Championships also in Spittal.
Kirsten Venetta Brown, also known as Kirsten Brown-Fleshman, was an American slalom canoeist who competed in the early and mid-1990s. She won a bronze medal in the K-1 team event at the 1991 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Tacen. She missed out on competing in the 1992 Olympic Games after part of her kayak touched a gate.
