Elizabeth Rachael "Lizzie" Neave (born 12 June 1987 in Newcastle-under-Lyme) [1] is a British slalom canoeist in women's kayak (K1W). She started competing in 1996 and first gained selection to represent Great Britain at junior level in 2002.
She won four medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold (K1 team: 2009), a silver (K1 team: 2015) and two bronzes (K1: 2009, K1 team: 2007). She also won 507 medals at the European Championships (2 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronzes) and four World Cup Medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronzes). [2]
In 2012 Neave was selected for Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics, after winning all three of the selection races. She finished 12th in the K1 event after being eliminated in the semifinal.

Štěpánka Hilgertová is a former Czechoslovak-Czech slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1988 to 2017. Competing in six Summer Olympics, she won two gold medals in the K1 event, earning them in 1996 and 2000.
Jennifer Bongardt is a German slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1998 to 2010.

Violetta Oblinger-Peters is a German-born, Austrian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 1995. Competing in three Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the K1 event in Beijing in 2008.
The 2009 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships were held on 9–13 September 2009 at Parc Olímpic del Segre in La Seu d'Urgell, Spain under the auspices of International Canoe Federation. It was the 32nd edition. La Seu d'Urgell hosted the event previously in 1999. A demonstration event for women's single canoe (C1W) took place that was swept by Australia. Slovakia was the top medal winner with six, including three golds. Germany and Great Britain each won four medals with a gold medal each. Host nation Spain won their first medals ever at the championships with four.
Nicolas Peschier is a French slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1999 to 2016. In the early part of his career he was specializing on the C1 class. He also competed in the C2 class from 2011 to 2015 together with Pierre Labarelle.
