The canton of Carcassonne-2 is an administrative division of the Aude department, southern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Carcassonne.^[1]

The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the French Republic's arrondissements and departments.

Aude is a department in south-central France named after the river Aude. The local council also calls the department "Cathar Country" after a group of religious dissidents active in the 12th century.
