Carlinville High School is a public high school located in Carlinville, Illinois that serves students from the surrounding areas of Carlinville, Chesterfield, Standard City, Atwater, and Plainview. [2]
A portion of the school was destroyed by fire on September 13, 1987. [3] Despite this devastating fire, students were able to resume classes two days later, and the school continues to operate to this day. [3]
Carlinville High School is a 2015 U.S. News Best High Schools Silver Medal winner, ranked as the 83rd best high school in Illinois. [4] The school has a student-teacher ratio of 14:1.
