The National Soccer Hall of Fame is a private,non-profit institution established in 1979 and currently located in Toyota Stadium in Frisco,Texas,a suburb of Dallas. The Hall of Fame honors soccer achievements in the United States. Induction into the hall is widely considered the highest honor in American soccer.

A new women's league,the USL W League,will begin play in 2022. It is directly affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation and the United States Adult Soccer Association. The USL is headquartered in Tampa.

The United States soccer league system is a series of professional and amateur soccer leagues based,in whole or in part,in the United States. Sometimes called the American soccer pyramid,teams and leagues are not linked by the system of promotion and relegation typical in soccer elsewhere. Team America was a professional version of the United States men's national soccer team which played as a franchise in the North American Soccer League (NASL) during the 1983 season. The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is an American soccer league commonly recognized as being a fourth-tier league,although it has been given no official designation by U.S. Soccer. Sunil Gulati is the former President of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) from 2006 to 2018. On April 19,2013,he was elected to a four-year term on the FIFA Council. In March 2014,he was unanimously re-elected to a record third four-year term as USSF president;having been elected initially in 2006 and re-elected again in 2010. Gulati is also a senior lecturer in the economics department of Columbia University. He is the former president of Kraft Soccer for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer.
S. Robert "Bob" Contiguglia served as President of the United States Soccer Federation from 1998 to 2006. Among his achievements as President of U.S. Soccer were:successfully hosting the 1999 Women's World Cup,convincing FIFA to relocate the 2003 Women's World Cup to the United States after the original plans to host it in China fell through,the U.S. women's team winning gold at the 2004 Summer Olympics,and hiring Bruce Arena as coach for the United States men's national team. In May 2018,Contiguglia was selected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
