Carlos Cordeiro (born 1956) is a sports executive. He was the president of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) from February 10,2018 [1] until March 12,2020 [2] when he resigned after criticism [3] over the legal stance taken by US Soccer under his administration towards the US women's national team.
Cordeiro was born to a Colombian mother and father of Indo-Portuguese descent [4] in Bombay. He moved to Miami at the age of 15 and is a graduate of Harvard University,where he earned an AB and MBA. Prior to joining the USSF in 2007 as an independent director,Cordeiro was a partner at Goldman Sachs and an independent director at BHP. [1] [5]

The Hall of Fame honors soccer achievements in the United States. Induction into the hall is widely considered the highest honor in American soccer.

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is an American soccer league commonly recognized as being a fourth-tier league,although it has been given no official designation by U.S. Soccer. The NPSL is a semi-professional league,comprising some teams that have paid players and some that are entirely amateur. Sunil Gulati is the former President of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) from 2006 to 2018. On April 19,2013,he was elected to a four-year term on the FIFA Council. In March 2014,he was unanimously re-elected to a record third four-year term as USSF president;having been elected initially in 2006 and re-elected again in 2010. Gulati is also a senior lecturer in the economics department of Columbia University. He is the former president of Kraft Soccer for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer.
S. Robert "Bob" Contiguglia served as President of the United States Soccer Federation from 1998 to 2006. Among his achievements as President of U.S. Soccer were:successfully hosting the 1999 Women's World Cup,convincing FIFA to relocate the 2003 Women's World Cup to the United States after the original plans to host it in China fell through,the U.S. women's team winning gold at the 2004 Summer Olympics,and hiring Bruce Arena as coach for the United States men's national team. In May 2018,Contiguglia was selected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
