The Caroli Group is a Monegasque diversified company. It encompasses real estate development, communication and media. It is headquartered in Monaco. [1]

History

The real estate company was founded by the engineer Antonio Caroli in the 1978. [2]

Real estate development

Since its founding in the 1970s, the company has built several residential buildings and luxury hotels in Monaco.

In 1973, Caroli Group built Le Mirabeau. [2]

In 1975, it completed the building of Hôtel Loews, now known as the Fairmont Monte Carlo. [2]

It also built La Réserve de Beaulieu & Spa in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, just outside Monaco. [2] It built the Monte Carlo Palace in 1988. [2] It also built Soleil d'Or and Terrasses du Port, two residential buildings. [2]

In 2015, the Caroli Group expanded the Antoine 1er dock by developing more buildings for 52 apartments and two museums for Euro 300 million. [3]

Communication

Its subsidiary Promocom was founded in 1988. [4] It is chaired by Francesco Caroli, Antonio Caroli's son, who serves as the Chairman of Sycom (syndicat patronal monégasque des professionnels de la communication). [4] It includes advertising, Sécurité Privée Monaco (private security), digital advertising, and event planning. [4]

Media

It publishes L'Observateur de Monaco , a monthly magazine, and Monaco Hebdo , a weekly newspaper. [2]

Monaco has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 24 times since its debut in 1959. The country's only win in the contest came in 1971 when Séverine performed "Un banc, un arbre, une rue". As a result, Monaco was expected to host the contest in 1972, but declined. As of 2022, Monaco is the only microstate which has won the contest.

She is an ex-wife of Baron Christian Louis de Massy who is a member of the House of Grimaldi. Throughout her Marriage she was known as Baroness Cecile de Massy but upon divorce was required to give up the title and retain her maiden name.

Monaco Media Diffusion (MMD) is a joint-stock company established in 1994. MMD is the only licensee for broadcasting radio and television in Monaco. The national company operates transmitters and distributes licenses and frequencies in consultation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The MMD network broadcasts both digitally, on the FM band, longwave and medium wave from several locations in Monaco and Southern France. MMD is run by a board of six members.
