The Scottish Government is the devolved government of Scotland. It was formed in 1999 as the Scottish Executive following the 1997 referendum on Scottish devolution.

Healthcare in Scotland is mainly provided by Scotland's public health service,NHS Scotland. It provides healthcare to all permanent residents free at the point of need and paid for from general taxation. Health is a matter that is devolved,and considerable differences have developed between the public healthcare systems in the countries of the United Kingdom,collectively the National Health Service (NHS). Though the public system dominates healthcare provision,private healthcare and a wide variety of alternative and complementary treatments are available for those willing and able to pay.
Health Education England (HEE) is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health and Social Care. Its function is to provide national leadership and coordination for the education and training within the health and public health workforce within England. It has been operational since June 2012.

She previously served as the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland from 2015 to 2020,having advised the Scottish Government's initial response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland.
Caroline Jane Gardner was the Auditor General for Scotland between June 2012 and July 2020. She is a former president of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) 2006−7.
Angiolina A Foster is a Scottish civil servant who is the chief executive of NHS 24. She worked in Communities Scotland,rising to chief executive,then held Director positions in two of the directorates of Scottish Government:Strategy and Ministerial Support 2007–2011,Health and Social Care Integration 2011–2014. She returned to a chief executive position in special health boards following this.
Jason Andrew Leitch is the National Clinical Director of the Scottish Government. He is a Senior Clinical Advisor to the Scottish Government and a member of the Health and Social Care Management Board. Leitch provided key leadership throughout the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been praised for his ability to translate complex scientific information to the public,providing calm and clear advice.
Public Health Scotland (PHS) is the national public health body for Scotland. It is a Special NHS Health Board,and it is jointly accountable to the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and the Scottish Government. Fully exercising its functions from 1 April 2020 as Scotland's leading national agency for improving and protecting the health and well-being of all of Scotland's people,it is jointly sponsored by COSLA and the Scottish Government,and collaborates with third sector organisations.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland is part of the COVID-19 pandemic of coronavirus disease-2019,caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. The first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Scotland on 1 March 2020. Community transmission was first reported on 11 March 2020,and the first confirmed death was on 13 March 2020.
The Queen's Birthday Honours for 2020 are appointments by some of the 16 Commonwealth realms of Queen Elizabeth II to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of those countries. The Birthday Honours are awarded as part of the Queen's Official Birthday celebrations during the month of June. The honours for New Zealand were announced on 1 June,and for Australia on 8 June.

Amanda Croft is a British nurse,who has served as the Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland since January 2021.
The 2022 Queen's Birthday Honours are appointments by some of the 15 Commonwealth realms of Queen Elizabeth II to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of those countries. The Birthday Honours are awarded as part of the Queen's Official Birthday celebrations during the month of June. They were announced on 1 June 2022,in anticipation of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. They were the last honours granted by the Queen before her death on 8 September 2022.
