Carson R. Vitale (born August 25,1988) is a Canadian professional baseball bench coach for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously served as a field coordinator for the Seattle Mariners.
Vitale attended Lambrick Park Secondary School in Victoria,British Columbia. [1] Viatale attended Laredo College for his freshman year of college,and transferred to McLennan Community College for his sophomore year. Vitale transferred to Creighton University for his final two years of college. [2]
Vitale was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 38th round of the 2010 MLB draft. [2] He played for the rookie–level Arizona League Rangers and Low–A Spokane Indians in 2010,and for Spokane again in 2011.
Vitale joined the Los Angeles Angels organization as a coach in 2012. He served as the hitting coach for the rookie–level Arizona League Angels in 2012,and as hitting coach for the rookie–level Orem Owls in 2013. He spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons as the manager of the Dominican Summer League Angels. He joined the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and served as their International Field Coordinator in 2016 and 2017. He then joined the Seattle Mariners organization and served as their minor league field coordinator in 2018 and 2019. [3] [4]
On November 7,2019,Vitale was named the Major League field coordinator for the Seattle Mariners. [5]
On November 26,2024,Vitale was hired by the Miami Marlins as a bench coach. [6]

The 2008 Seattle Mariners season was the 32nd Major League Baseball season in the team's history. Coming off the heels of the previous 2007 season,in which the Mariners finished with their first winning record since 2003,the team was widely expected to once again compete for the American League West championship. The team was bolstered by some major roster additions during the previous offseason,most notably starting pitchers Érik Bédard and Carlos Silva. However,by the end of May,it became apparent that the team had gone back to its losing ways of the 2004–06 seasons. Despite their losing ways,they won their first and last game of the season. Their longest winning-streak of the season is 4 games after a sweep of the Cleveland Indians at the end of August and a 12-6 win against the Texas Rangers on the first day of September. However,standing at 57–87,their longest losing-streak of the season is 12 games,11 on the road,1 at home,after being swept by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim,Kansas City Royals,Oakland Athletics,and suffering a loss at the last homestand opener against the Angels. On September 23,the Mariners became the first club to spend $100 million in payroll and lose 100 games. The team finished the season with a 61–101 (.377) record,last in the West for the 4th time in 5 years,and second worst in the majors.
