On November 15, 2022, the Twins added Legumina to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. [4]

Cincinnati Reds

On November 18, 2022, the Twins traded Legumina to the Cincinnati Reds for Kyle Farmer. [5] Legumina was optioned to the Triple-A Louisville Bats to begin the 2023 season. [6] He recorded a 1.59 ERA with five strikeouts in 5+23 innings pitched to begin the year.

On April 15, 2023, the Reds promoted Legumina to the major leagues for the first time. [7] He made 11 appearances for Cincinnati in his rookie campaign, posting a 5.68 ERA with 11 strikeouts across 12+23 innings pitched. Legumina was again optioned to Triple–A Louisville to begin the 2024 season. [8]
