The Cauayan City National High School-Main is a public educational institution established in Cauayan, Isabela, Philippines. It was established on June 3, 1997, as an extension of Cauayan Polytechnic College, now Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus. [1]

Contents

It was formerly named Cauayan National High School since its inception and was later renamed to its present name when Cauayan, Isabela became a city on March 30, 2001. In 2013, Cauayan City National High School won as the greenest school in the Philippines. [2]

Administration

The school is now administered by the DepEd Schools Division of Cauayan. Ms./Mrs. Maribeth Dela Peña, Secondary School Principal II serves as the newly assigned secondary school principal of Cauayan City National High School.

It was founded in 1904, making it the oldest public high school in the Cagayan Valley region. It was named Isabela High School before it was converted into a national high school in 1982. It is the only educational institution offering the Open High School Program in the entire Cagayan Valley region. As of 2019, the school is administered by Gilbert N Tong, the head of the Schools Division of the City of Ilagan. The school's current principal is Silvino B. Cabangan
