Caviar Dreams is the debut extended play by Toronto rapper NorthSideBenji. Although the album was due to be released in July 2018, it was officially released on January 18, 2019. [1] The album was supported by the singles "Confessions", and "Levels". [2] [3] It included production from producers Bricks Da Mane and Dan Berry among others. [4]

Exclaim! gave the album a 8/10, stating that the album speaks to the determination of getting out of their current circumstances and living a life they may never have been able to dream of – a life where the term Caviar Dreams is no longer considered just an album title, but a reality worth living. [1]

Notes

The song "Winner" was remixed by Play Dirty producer Bouncer which featured NorthSideBenji and Chip and was released on October 10, 2019. [5]

The single "Levels" was certified gold by Music Canada on April 7, 2020. [6]

Dimarjio Antonio Jenkins, better known by his stage name Houdini, was a Canadian rapper from Toronto, Ontario. He first gained recognition from his certified gold single "Late Nights" which contained vocal features from Burna Bandz and was released in 2017. This was followed by the singles "Myself" and "Backseat". He was also known for his frequent collaborations with fellow rappers Pressa, Robin Banks and NorthSideBenji, which includes the latter's certified gold single "Levels" which saw a feature from Houdini. He released his debut mixtape Hou I Am on February 13, 2019. His sophomore mixtape Hou Woulda Thought followed on August 2, 2019. His debut EP underGROUND was released on March 18, 2020. This would be his last release during his lifetime as he was shot and killed on May 26, 2020.

Jordan Whiston, better known by his stage name Jay Whiss, is a Canadian rapper and songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. He first gained international attention after the release of the single "Watch This", which appeared on OVO Sound Radio in late 2015. Whiss also appeared on the Noisey documentary 6IX RISING (2017), which showcased hip hop culture in Canada. He is one-third of the hip hop collective Prime Boys, alongside Jimmy Prime and Donnie. Prime Boys released their debut studio album Koba World on July 27, 2018; the album received a 9/10 score by Exclaim!. Whiss was also featured in the short film Remember Me, Toronto (2019) by Mustafa the Poet.

Jaiden Anthony Watson, better known by his stage name NorthSideBenji, is a Canadian rapper and musician from Brampton, Ontario. Benji gained recognition from his Certified Gold single "Levels", which featured Toronto rapper Houdini. The single was released in December 2018, and was the only supporting single of his debut extended play, Caviar Dreams, which was released on January 18, 2019. He released his second EP Frienemy on September 6, 2019.

Chris Stiliadis, better known by his stage name Chris Yonge, is a Canadian rapper, producer and sound engineer from Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Old Toronto, to a Greek father and German mother, he first gained recognition with his debut EP Presence released in 2015. He is perhaps best known for his 2016 single "TGIF", which went on to be featured in his second EP, Negatives, released in 2017. His third EP, SS17, was released later that year.
