Cazadores de Artemisa (English: Artemisa Hunters) is a Cuban baseball team based in Artemisa. They are a member of the Cuban National Series and play their home games at 26 de Julio Stadium, opened in 1968 and with a capacity of 6,000 spectators. [1]
In 2011, Cuban government decided to split Havana Province into two newly created administrative divisions: Artemisa Province and Mayabeque Province. This led to the disappearance of the La Habana team and to the creation of the Artemisa and Huracanes de Mayabeque teams, who started playing in the 2011–12 Cuban National Series season. [2] [3] [4]

Administratively, Cuba is divided into 15 provinces and one special municipality. The current structure has been in place since August 2010, when the then-La Habana Province was divided into Artemisa Province and Mayabeque Province.
La Habana Province, formerly known as Ciudad de La Habana Province, is a province of Cuba that includes the territory of the city of Havana, the Republic's capital. The province's territory is the seat of the superior organs of the state and its provincial administration.

Artemisa is a municipality and city in Cuba, formerly part of La Habana Province. Leñadores de Las Tunas is a baseball team in the Cuban National Series. Based in the city of Las Tunas, the Leñadores, or Magos, were long a perennial last-place team in Group C. Led by Osmani Urrutia in the early 1990s, the Magos were competitive, finishing with winning records in 2004–05 and 2005–06. Shortstop Alex Guerrero, hit a .303/.385/.526 slash line with 103 home runs and 413 RBI in 559 games from 2004-05 through 2011-12.

The Tigres de Quintana Roo, formerly known as the Tigres del Mexico are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The tournament began on November 27 with a game between Ciego de Avila and Pinar del Río. The regular season finished on April 22; the final game of the playoffs was played on May 28 with Ciego de Avila beating Industriales.
Havana Province was one of the provinces of Cuba from 1976, when the nation's provincial structure was revised, through the end of 2010. Huracanes de Mayabeque is a Cuban baseball team based in San José de las Lajas. They are a member of the Cuban National Series and play their home games at Nelson Fernández Stadium, opened in 1960 and with a capacity of 3,000 spectators.
The 2023 Cuban National Series was the 62nd season of the league. No longer playing a winter league schedule, the regular season began on 29 March and ended on 3 July. In the series' final playoff round, contested in August, Las Tunas defeated Industriales in a four-game sweep. It was Las Tunas second league championship, having previously won in 2018–19.
The 2023–24 Cuban Elite League was the second edition of the tournament. After only one season, the format of the tournament was reorganized completely; this year, the league would include the top six regular-season teams from the 2023 Cuban National Series, rather than the amalgamation of National Series teams that was seen in the 2022–23 campaign.
