Camp Boiro Place in Conakry Region, Guinea

Camp Boiro or Camp Mamadou Boiro is a defunct Guinean concentration camp within Conakry city. During the regime of President Ahmed Sékou Touré, thousands of political opponents were imprisoned at the camp. It has been estimated that almost 5,000 people were executed or died from torture or starvation at the camp. According to other estimates, the number of victims was ten times higher: 50,000.

Aïssatou Boiro was a Guinean civil servant from Koundara. She was assassinated by armed men in Conakry on 9 November 2012. Four of her killers received life sentences in 2019.

Kodak Cine Special 16mm Cameras

The Kodak Cine Special 16mm Cameras (CKS) are a family of precision, versatile, spring-wound 16mm silent movie cameras produced by Eastman Kodak from the 1930s to the 1960s, and intended for advanced consumers and industry professionals. While its rectangular format was typical of earlier Kodak 16 mm cameras, the CKS 'box' was formed by two joined sections: the spring motor half with the user controls, winding cranks, and gear work to the shutter. The other half was a film magazine which docked to the motor. This allowed the cinematographer to pre-load multiple magazines of film for quick interchange of film.

The 2016–17 Segunda División B season was the 40th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played in August 2016, and the season ended in June 2017 with the promotion play-off finals.

Amadou Boiro was a Senegalese footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.

1984 Guinean coup détat

The 1984 Guinean coup d'état was the bloodless military coup that took place in Guinea on 3 April 1984, led by Colonel Lansana Conté. It led to the deposition of Prime Minister Louis Lansana Beavogui, who held the office since 1972, and assumed interim presidential powers on 26 March, when the long-time President Ahmed Sékou Touré died during an emergency heart operation at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States.
