Beaver County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 168,215. Its county seat is Beaver, and its largest city is Aliquippa. The county was created on March 12, 1800, from parts of Allegheny and Washington counties. It took its name from the Beaver River.

It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The borough is best known as the home of the Bruster's Ice Cream chain. A few scenes in the 1986 movie Gung Ho were also shot in Bridgewater. Much of Bridgewater, including its two major streets, are included in the Bridgewater Historic District.
Center Township is a township in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 11,632. It is a suburban community located approximately 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Pittsburgh. It is home to two colleges, Penn State Beaver and Community College of Beaver County. Center Township is also a retail center for Beaver County, home to the Beaver Valley Mall.
Monaca is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States along the Ohio River, 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Pittsburgh. The population was 5,615 as of the 2020 census. First incorporated as Phillipsburg as the home of the New Philadelphia Society, its name was changed to Monaca in honor of the Native American Monacatootha. Fire clay is found in large quantities in the vicinity, and there is a Stoelzle Glass plant in the town.

The Central Valley School District (CVSD) was established on July 1, 2009. It comprises the former Center Area and Monaca school districts, and includes the municipalities of Center Township, Potter Township, and Monaca Borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The Central Valley School District represents the first “Voluntary” merger of public school districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The merger was a five-year process due to opposition from those who opposed the plan.

The Beaver County Transportation Authority (BCTA) is the operator of mass transportation in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Seven routes are provided, all of which serve the southern and central portions of the county, which are incorporated into suburban Pittsburgh. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 424,600, or about 3,500 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022.
Midd-West High School is a small, rural high school located at 540 E Main Street, Middleburg, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by Midd-West School District. In 2013, Midd-West High School's enrollment was 795 students in grades 8th through 12th. Students may choose to attend the SUN Area Technical Institute in New Berlin, Pennsylvania for training in the building trades, allied health services, automotive repairs, culinary arts as well as computer technology. Fees for attendance are paid by Midd-West School District. The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit IU16 provides the district with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.
