Central and Western Democratic Power is a local political group in the Central and Western district of Hong Kong. It was convened by Kam Nai Wai, a member of Democratic Party and Central and Western District Councillor, and is mainly composed of pro-democracy District Councillors of the district.

Its platform includes striving for general election of the Chief Executive in 2007 and Legislative Council in 2008, public consultation of implementation of Article 23 of the Basic Law by means of a White Bill, stopping reclamation to protect the Victoria Harbour, cutting transportation fares for elderly citizens, and other local affairs.

8 out of 10 members of the group won in the 2003 District Council elections in the Central and Western district.

Ip Kwok-him, GBM, GBS, JP is an unofficial member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong, having been in the position since March 2016. He is also former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for the District Council (First) functional constituency and Hong Kong delegate to the National People's Congress and the former convenor of the caucus of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) in the Legislative Council. He was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal (GBM) by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2017.

2011 Hong Kong local elections

The 2011 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 6 November 2011. Elections were held to all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong, returning 412 members from directly elected constituencies, each selecting a council member. After the government's constitutional reform package was passed in 2010, five new seats in the Legislative Council would be created in which the candidates would be nominated by all District Councillors.

The Central and Western District Council is the district council for the Central and Western District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Central and Western District Council currently consists of 15 members, of which the district is divided into 15 constituencies, electing a total of 15 members. The last election was held on 24 November 2019.

2015 Hong Kong local elections

The 2015 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 22 November 2015. Elections were held to all 18 District Councils with returning 431 members from directly elected constituencies after all appointed seats had been abolished.

Elections to elect all members of the North West Leicestershire District Council took place on 7 May 2015, simultaneously with a general election, held as one of the English local elections of that year.

Lau Kwok-fan

Edward Lau Kwok-fan, MH is a Hong Kong politician. He is the member of the executive committee of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) and former member of the North District Council, representing Yan Shing until 2019. In the 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Council election, he succeeded DAB veteran legislator Ip Kwok-him in the District Council (First) functional constituency to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.

2019 Northern Ireland local elections

Local elections were held in Northern Ireland on Thursday 2 May 2019. The last elections were held in 2014. 819 candidates contested 462 seats across Northern Ireland's 11 local government districts. 1,305,384 people aged 18 and over were eligible to vote, and 52.7% of the electorate turned out.
