Ceretta Smith is an American politician serving as a councilmember for the City of Grovetown, Georgia, [1] in Columbia County, near Augusta.

Smith is a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former union official for the AFGE. She previously ran for the Georgia State Senate in District 23 against Max Burns in 2020. [2]

In August 2025, Smith announced her candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives as a Democrat for Georgia's 12th congressional district, a seat currently held by Congressman Rick Allen. [3]
