Chanda Rigby (born April 16, 1968) is an American basketball coach. Since 2012, she has been the head coach of the Troy Trojans women's basketball team. [1]

Troy University is a public university in Troy, Alabama. It was founded in 1887 as Troy State Normal School within the Alabama State University System, and is now the flagship university of the Troy University System. It was one of about 180 "normal schools" founded by state governments in the 19th century to train teachers for the rapidly growing public common schools. Some closed but most steadily expanded their role and became state colleges in the early 20th century and state universities in the late 20th century.
Cynthia Lynne Cooper-Dyke is an American basketball coach and former player who has won championships in college, in the Olympics, and in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She is considered by many as one of the greatest female basketball players ever. In 2011, Cooper-Dyke was voted by fans as one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history. Upon the league's formation, she played for the Houston Comets from 1997 to 2000, being named the Most Valuable Player of the WNBA Finals in all four seasons, and returned to play again in 2003. Cooper-Dyke still holds the record for most Finals MVPs with four. On April 30, 2019, she was introduced as the head coach for the Texas Southern Lady Tigers basketball team, a position she held in the 2012–13 season. She has also coached at USC, UNC Wilmington, Prairie View A&M, and, professionally, for the Phoenix Mercury. Cooper-Dyke was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
Kristin Lynne Haynie is an American former basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and current head coach for the Central Michigan women's team.
The Wade Trophy is an award presented annually to the best upperclass women's basketball player in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. It is named after three–time national champion Delta State University coach Lily Margaret Wade. The award debuted in 1978 as the first–ever women's national player of the year award in college basketball. State Farm Insurance sponsors the award, and the trophy is presented at the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Convention.
The Associated Press College Basketball Coach of the Year award was established in 1967 to recognize the best men's college basketball coach of the year, as voted upon by the Associated Press (AP). A parallel award for women's coaches was added in 1995. The 2011 women's award, shared by three coaches, was notable as the first shared AP award in any college sport.

The USC Trojans women's basketball team, or the Women of Troy, is the collegiate women's basketball team that represents the University of Southern California, in the Pac-12 Conference. The team rose to prominence in 1976, at which time scholarships became available to female basketball players. They were the first Division I team to give these scholarships.

The Troy Trojans are the sports teams of Troy University. They began playing in the NCAA's Division I-A in 2001, became a football only member of the Sun Belt Conference in 2004, and joined that conference for all other sports in 2005. Troy University's athletics nickname was the Red Wave until the early 1970s when the student body voted to change the name to Trojans.
The 2015–16 Troy Trojans women's basketball team represented Troy University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Trojans, led by fourth year head coach Chanda Rigby, played their home games at Trojan Arena and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 12–8 in Sun Belt play to finish in fourth place. They won the Sun Belt Tournament for the first time in school history and earn an automatic trip to the NCAA women's tournament for the first time since 1997. They lost in the first round to Oregon State.
The 2016–17 Troy Trojans women's basketball team represented Troy University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Trojans, led by fifth year head coach Chanda Rigby, played their home games at Trojan Arena and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 22–11, 12–6 in Sun Belt play to finish in third place. They defeat Arkansas State, Texas–Arlington and Louisiana–Lafayette to become champions of the Sun Belt Tournament to earn an automatic trip to the NCAA women's tournament. They lost in the first round to Mississippi State.

The Trojans, led by sixth year head coach Chanda Rigby, play their home games at Trojan Arena and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 18–13, 12–6 in Sun Belt play to finish in a tie for third place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Sun Belt Tournament where they lost to Little Rock.
The 2018–19 Troy Trojans women's basketball team represents Troy University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Trojans, led by sixth year head coach Chanda Rigby, play their home games at Trojan Arena and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 22–9, 13–5 in Sun Belt play to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Tournament to South Alabama. They received an at-large bid to the WNIT where they lost to UAB in the first round.
The 2019–20 Troy Trojans women's basketball team represents Troy University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Trojans, led by seventh year head coach Chanda Rigby, play their home games at Trojan Arena and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 25–4, 16–2 in Sun Belt play to finish regular season champions. They received a first and second round bye in the Sun Belt tournament after being seeded 1st. Before their first game, the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
