Krista Gerlich (born November 16, 1970, in Spearman, Texas) is an American college basketball coach. She is the head coach of the Texas Tech Lady Raiders basketball team. [5]

West Texas A&M

On September 18, 2006, Gerlich was named the women's basketball coach at West Texas A&M.

She inherited a 28–4 Lone Star Champion Lady Buff program that lost in the South Central Region Tournament semifinals, including Lone Star player of the year Emily Brister. [6]

UT Arlington

Gerlich was named the head coach of the Lady Mavericks on April 11, 2013. [7] She accumulated a program-best 121 wins with the Lady Mavs.

Texas Tech

Texas Tech announced the hiring of Gerlich to lead the Lady Raiders on August 18, 2020, [8] taking over following the scandal of the previous coach Marlene Stollings. [9]

Krista is married to former Red Raider linebacker Bryan Gerlich.

Christopher Michael Beard is an American basketball coach who is the head men's coach at the University of Mississippi. He also previously served as head coach at Texas, Texas Tech, Little Rock, Angelo State, and McMurry. Beard graduated from high school from McCullough High School in The Woodlands, Texas. He was a manager at Texas under former Longhorns coach Tom Penders, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. He received a Masters of Education from Abilene Christian University where he served as a graduate assistant in 1998.

Linda Marlene Stollings is an American college basketball coach who was most recently women's basketball head coach at Texas Tech University. Stollings played college basketball at Ohio State University and Ohio University. After serving as an assistant coach at various colleges from 2000 to 2011 and briefly as interim head coach at New Mexico State in 2003, Stollings was head coach at Winthrop from 2011 to 2012, VCU from 2012 to 2014, Minnesota from 2014 to 2018, and Texas Tech from 2018 to 2020.

Candace Elizabeth Whitaker is an American college basketball coach who is currently women's basketball head coach at North Alabama. Previously, Whitaker was head coach at UMKC and Texas Tech. After playing college basketball at Texas Tech, Whitaker returned to her alma mater to fill the position after former coach Kristy Curry left to coach at Alabama. In April 2019, it was announced that Whitaker was selected as the new head women's basketball coach at Missouri Western State University.

The 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began in November 2019 and concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was scheduled to end at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 5, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. It was the first cancellation in the history of the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. Practices officially began in late September 2019.

Noel Dawn Johnson was an American basketball player and the head coach of the Midwestern State Mustangs women's basketball team. She played for the national championship Texas Tech Lady Raiders in 1993.
