Chang Jung-Lin (born May 2, 1985) is a Taiwanese 8-ball and Nine-ball pool player. He became WPA World Eight-ball Champion in 2012 and won the silver medal at the 2013 World Games for Nine-ball. [1] Jun-Lin is a former world number 1 in 8-Ball Pool, having done so first after the US Open in 2012. [3]

Career

At the 2012 WPA World Eight-ball Championship, Jun-Lin defeated compatriot Fu Che-wei in the final 11–6, after previously winning his semi-final 9–7 against Chris Melling. [4] [5] [6]

In 2013, Chang would compete in the 2013 World Games, reaching the final of the Men's Nine-Ball championships, where he would become runner-up to England's Darren Appleton, with the score ending 10–11. [7] [1] [8]

David Alcaide Bermúdez is a Spanish pool player. He is a two-time winner of the World Pool Masters, winning the 2017 event, defeating Jayson Shaw 8–7 in the final, and again in 2019 defeating Alexander Kazakis 9–8. Alcaide is a three-time world championship semi-finalist having reached the stage at the WPA World 10-ball Championship, in 2009 and 2015, and the WPA World Eight-ball Championship in 2011.

Lee Vann Corteza, also spelled Lee Van Corteza, is a Filipino professional pool player. He is nicknamed "Van Van", and started playing pool in 1993.

Oliver Ortmann German three time world champion pool player

Oliver Ortmann is a German professional pool player from Gelsenkirchen. Ortmann is a three-time world champion, winning the 1995 WPA World Nine-ball Championship and both the 2007 and 2010 Straight pool world championships. Ortmann is the second player to win three world championships. With fourteen wins, he is one of the most successful players at the European Pool Championships. Ortmann is the second to Ralf Souquet on the Euro Tour, winning fourteen events. Ortmann was the first player from Europe to win the U.S. Open Straight Pool Championship, in 1989.

Cue sports, including three-cushion billiards, nine-ball and snooker, were introduced as World Games sports for men and for women also at the World Games 2001 in Akita.

Fu Che-wei born December 21, 1973 is a Taiwanese professional pool player, nicknamed "the Draw Shot Prince."

The WPA 9-Ball-World Championship 2017 was the 26th edition of the 9-Ball pool World Championships. It took place from December 9 to 14, 2017 in the al-Attiya Sports Arena of the Al-Arabi Sports Club in Doha. The Qatari capital was the eighth time in a row the venue for the 9-Ball Championships.

Albin Ouschan Austrian pool player, two time world champion, born August 1990

Albin Alois Ouschan is an Austrian pool and billiards player. Ouschan was the 2016 WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, as well as the runner up in 2014. He also won the 14.1 Continuous European championship the same year. Ouschan is a multiple time Austrian champion in 8-ball, tenball and straight pool.

Ko Ping-chung is a Taiwanese 9-ball pool player. Ko is the younger brother of Ko Pin-yi.

The 2019 WPA World Nine-ball Championship was a nine-ball pool championship, which took place from December 13 to 17, 2019 at the al-Arabi Sports Club in Doha, Qatar. The defending champion was Germany's Joshua Filler, who won the 2018 event defeating Carlo Biado in the final 13–10.

The 2012 WPA World Eight-ball Championship was a professional eight-ball championship, organized by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), and held 11–18 February 2012 at the Fujairah Exhibition Centre of the Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. A total of 96 players from all of the WPA's six regions participated.

Kristina Olegovna Tkach is a Russian professional pool player. She became the 2017 WPA World Nine-ball Junior Championship winner, defeating Lee Woo-jin in the final 9–6. Tkach is a four time European champion having won the eight-ball event in 2016 and 2019, as well as Straight pool in 2017 and 2019. In addition, she is a nine-time Junior European Champion.

The Women's WPA 9 Ball World Championship is an annual Pool tournament in the discipline of Nine-ball. The most successful player is Allison Fisher from England, who won the tournament in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2001. The women's tournament usually takes place in a different place than the men's world championship.

Line Kjørsvik is a Norwegian pool player. Kjørsvik is a regular player for the WPBA-Tour in America. At the European Pool Championships Kjørsvik has won six championships. At the World Games 2005 she won the bronze medal in the Nine-ball event, reaching the semi-final. At the WPA Women's World Nine-ball Championship, Kjørsvik reached her best position in 2006 reaching the quarter-finals. In addition, she is 35 times Norwegian pool champion.

Matt Edwards is a New Zealand player of pool. Edwards is from Kaiapoi, North Canterbury. He started playing Pool at the age of 12.
