Chang Wen-ying (or Chang Wen-ing;Chinese :張溫鷹; pinyin :Zhāng Wēnyīng;born 26 July 1950) is a Taiwanese politician.
She was imprisoned for two years after performing plastic surgery on Shih Ming-teh,who was attempting to flee Taiwan shortly after the Kaohsiung Incident. After her release,Chang ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the National Assembly in 1986. With the help of Taichung mayor Chen Tuan-tang,Chang was elected to the Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council (TPCC) in 1989. She married Chen's son Chen Wen-hsien in 1990. [1] Upon the end of her second term on the TPCC,Chang served as Mayor of Taichung from 1997 to 2001. [2] She left the Democratic Progressive Party run an independent mayoral campaign in 2001,after finishing low in opinion polls. [3] [4] Her bid for reelection split the Pan-Green Coalition vote between herself and Michael Tsai,allowing Jason Hu to win. [5]
Annette Lu Hsiu-lien is a Taiwanese politician. A feminist active in the tangwai movement,she joined the Democratic Progressive Party in 1990,and was elected to the Legislative Yuan in 1992. Subsequently,she served as Taoyuan County Magistrate between 1997 and 2000,and was the Vice President of Taiwan from 2000 to 2008,under President Chen Shui-bian. Lu announced her intentions to run for the presidency on 6 March 2007,but withdrew to support eventual DPP nominee Frank Hsieh. Lu ran again in 2012,but withdrew for a second time,ceding the nomination to DPP chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen. She lost the party's Taipei mayoral nomination to Pasuya Yao in 2018,and stated that she would leave the party. However,by the time Lu announced in September 2019 that she would contest the 2020 presidential election on behalf of the Formosa Alliance,she was still a member of the Democratic Progressive Party.
Su Tseng-chang is a Taiwanese politician who served as premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2019 to 2023. He was the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party in 2005 and from 2012 to 2014. Su served as Chief of Staff to President Chen Shui-bian in 2004. He is currently the longest-serving Democratic Progressive premier in history.
Frank Hsieh Chang-ting is a Taiwanese politician and former defense attorney who served as Ambassador of Taiwan to Japan from 2016 to 2024. A cofounder of the Democratic Progressive Party,he has served on the Taipei City Council,the Legislative Yuan,as the mayor of Kaohsiung City,and as the Premier of Taiwan under president Chen Shui-bian. Hsieh was the DPP nominee in the 2008 presidential election and was defeated by Ma Ying-jeou.

Tsai Ing-wen is a Taiwanese politician who served as the 7th president of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2016 to 2024,and was the first woman to hold that position. A member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP),she intermittently served as chair of the DPP from 2008 to 2012,2014 to 2018,and 2020 to 2022.
Lee Ying-yuan (Chinese:李應元;pinyin:LǐYìngyuán;Wade–Giles:Li3 Ying4-yüen2;Pe̍h-ōe-jī:LíÈng-goân;16 March 1953 –11 November 2021) was a Taiwanese politician. He was elected to the Legislative Yuan in 1995 and stepped down in 2000. In 2005,Lee was appointed the Minister of Council of Labor Affairs,which he led until 2007. Lee has also served as Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan and the Democratic Progressive Party,and was reelected to the Legislative Yuan in 2012. He was appointed the Minister of Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) in 2016. He left the EPA in 2018,and subsequently served as Taiwan's representative to Thailand from 2020 to 2021.

Chiu Tai-san is a Taiwanese lawyer and politician. He was a member of the Legislative Yuan from 1999 to 2004. He then served as the vice minister of the Mainland Affairs Council,and later as deputy mayor of Kaohsiung City under Chen Chu. After leaving politics for a teaching position,Chiu was named the deputy mayor of Taoyuan City under Cheng Wen-tsan in 2014.
