Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council was originally established on 1 May 1946 as Taiwan Representative Council. It was renamed Provisional Taiwan Provincial Council in December 1951 and Taiwan Provincial Council in June 1959. As all council members were democratically elected,until 1991 National Assembly election and 1992 legislative election,it was the most recognized democratic legislature in Taiwan.
In 1996,President Lee Teng-hui decided to abolish most of the governmental functions of Taiwan Province. It was reconstituted as Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council with the streamlining of the Taiwan Provincial Government in 1998.
On July 1,2018,by a resolution passed during the 3606th meeting of the Executive Yuan,all the remaining duties were transferred to the National Development Council and other ministries of the Executive Yuan. [4] The transformations completed before 31 December 2018. However,the government will keep the position of Chairman Speaker of Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council to comply with the requirement set by the Additional Articles of the Constitution.
Currently,the only official who serves in the council is the Chairman Speaker of Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council.
The consultative council does not have any physical meeting place after all its functionalities were handed to the central government in 2018. Historically,the consultative council was located in Taipei from April 1946 to May 1958,and in Wufeng,Taichung County (now Taichung special municipality and not a part of Taiwan Province) from May 1958 to 2018.

Chen Huei-kuhn was a Taiwanese artist,notable for being an activist in merching Chinese painting styles and techniques in art of Europe. Some of his work are considered as a fusion of Eastern Gouache,oil paintings and ink wash painting skills. Born in Lungching Hsiang,Taichung,Taiwan,and trained in Tokyo,Chen worked as a teacher in secondary school,as an art professor in universities for more than 45 years and a contemporary artist. He has a long history of involvement and contribution in contemporary art and education. His painting style integrate both eastern and western styles. Besides,he served as preparations for the provincial exhibition,faculty development,student exhibition of the committee,evaluation committee,council members. He also organised two dozens solo exhibition since 1962 and had won many prestigious awards like "Ten Outstanding Senior Artist Award","Golden Harvest Award" and "National Literary Award". He is a well known artist and educationist.

Lin Ching-yi is a Taiwanese physician and politician. She was first elected to the Legislative Yuan in 2016,then re-elected in 2022 by by-election.
Wong Ker-lee,was a Fujianese Hong Kong businessman and politician. He was first Mayor of Taichung after the Chinese retrocession of Taiwan from 1946 to 1947 when he resigned for the February 28 Incident. After he moved to Hong Kong,he founded several banks including the Overseas Trust Bank and the Hong Kong Industrial and Commercial Bank. From the 1980s,he was the member of the National Committee of the 6th,7th,8th and 9th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and member of its standing committee from 1988 to 2003.

The Taiwan Statebuilding Party is a political party in the Republic of China (Taiwan). The party was established in 2016 as Taiwan Radical Wings. The party is considered a rather close ally of the DPP,while fighting to replace opposition parties whom TSP unilaterally claims as “not loyal to Taiwan”,such as Kuomintang and TPP. In Taiwan’s 2024 Legislative Election,TSP failed to gain any seat in the Legislative Yuan and lost its status as a national political party.
