Charles Edwin Heughan Hopkins (born 12 June 1987) is an English former first-class cricketer.
Hopkins was born at Peterborough and was educated at Bourne Grammar School,before going up to the University of Nottingham to study bioscience. [1] He then undertook postgraduate studies at Jesus College,Cambridge. [1] While at Cambridge he made his debut in first-class cricket for Cambridge MCCU against Surrey at Fenner's in 2010. [2] [notes 1] He played a further first-class match in 2010 for Cambridge MCCU against Leicestershire,before making a first-class appearance in 2010 for Cambridge University against Oxford University at Oxford. [2] He played three first-class matches while at Cambridge,scoring 34 runs and taking 2 wickets with his right-arm medium pace bowling. [3] He gained a blue in cricket. [1]
Hopkins played minor counties cricket for Lincolnshire,debuting against Norfolk in the 2007 Minor Counties Championship. [4] He played minor counties cricket for Lincolnshire from 2007–2010,making five appearances in the Minor Counties Championship and two appearances in the minor counties one-day tournament. [4] [5]
Cambridge University Cricket Club,established in 1820,is the representative cricket club for students of the University of Cambridge. Depending on the circumstances of each individual match,the club has always been recognised as holding first-class status. The university played List A cricket in 1972 and 1974 only. It has not played top-level Twenty20 cricket.

Edward Richard Bebbington Hyde is an English wicketkeeper batsman. He was born in Huntingdon and attended St John's College School in Cambridge and Tonbridge School. He was then awarded a Skinners' Company exhibition to Jesus College,Cambridge.
The 2019 Marylebone Cricket Club University Matches were a series of cricket matches that were played between the eighteen County Championship teams and the six Marylebone Cricket Club University teams (MCCU) of England and Wales. The first two rounds of fixtures were classed as first-class matches. Each county side played one fixture against an MCCU side ahead of the start of the 2019 County Championship.
