Maria Rosario "Charo" Soriano (born October 14, 1985) is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, an outdoor volleyball tournament, and a board member of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. [1] She also serves as a city councilor of Tuguegarao since 2022.
During her collegiate playing career for the Ateneo Lady Eagles, she played indoor and beach volleyball. After playing with the Ateneo Lady Eagles from 2003 to 2008, she worked as assistant coach for the team from 2012 to 2014. Soriano led the Eagles to victory in the Shakey's V-League Season 8, 1st Conference as head coach. [2] In 2013, she played for the Smart Maynilad Net Spikers in the Shakey's V-League [3] Soriano joined PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters from the Shakey's V-League, for the 2014 Shakey's V-League 11th Season Open Conference and the 2015 Shakey's V-League 12th Season Reinforced Open Conference. In beach volleyball, Soriano played in the 2015 PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup with Petron XCS and the 2015 Fit To Hit: Philippine Beach Volleyball Invitational Mane 'n Tail. She won the Silver Medal in the 2015 Beach Volleyball Republic Christmas Open and later represented The Philippines partnering Alexa Micek in the 2015 Spike For Peace Women’s International Beach Volleyball. [5] She played with Micek the Beach Volleyball Republic tournaments since 2015. She is one of the co-founders of Beach Volleyball Republic. [6]
For the 2016 Shakey's V-League 13th Season Open Conference season, she acted as playing coach for the club BaliPure Purest Water Defenders. [7]
Soriano announced on October 6, 2021, that she would be seeking political office as councilor in her hometown, Tuguegarao, for the 2022 Philippine local election. [8] She was elected to a three-year term after placing second in the official tally. [9]
On July 25, 2022, she was elected president of the Cagayan chapter of the Philippine Councilors League, making her an ex officio member of the Cagayan Provincial Board. [10]

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League (SVL), a women's collegiate league. In 2017 the league was renamed into Premier Volleyball League. From 2011 to 2020, the league was open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The league status turned professional in 2021.
Alyssa Caymo Valdez is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was a member of the collegiate varsity women's volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University in both indoor and beach volleyball. She was most outstanding as an indoor volleyball player where she brought multiple championship titles and a lot of honor for the university. She is a current member of Philippines national team. Her global recognition paved the way for her to play in other countries like Thailand for 3BB Nakornnont and Taiwan for Attack Line Volleyball Club.

Maria Paulina "Pau" Soriano is a Filipino volleyball athlete player of the Creamline Cool Smashers that plays in the Premier Volleyball League.
The PLDT Home Fibr Hitters, or the PLDT Volleyball Club is a former professional men's volleyball team owned by PLDT. It was established in 2013 and originally consisted of men's and women's teams. In 2018, the women's team became merged with the Smart Giga Hitters. The men's team has been playing in the Spikers' Turf since October 2018.
Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. In 2020, her team Cignal HD Spikers transferred to the Premier Volleyball League.
Angeline Marie Gervacio, also known as Dzi Gervacio, is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a former Ateneo Lady Eagles player and plays for the Petro Gazz Angels. She is known as the Queen of Jump Serve.
Jamenea "Jem" Ferrer is a Filipina volleyball player. She was a 3-time UAAP best setter awardee while playing for the Ateneo university Lady Eagles volleyball team. She was a member of Fab 5 together with Dzi Gervacio, Fille Cainglet–Cayetano, Gretchen Ho and A Nacachi.

Since 2011, corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams have also participated in the league.
