Cher: The Memoir is the first of a two-part memoir by the American entertainer Cher. The book was released November 19, 2024 by Dey Street Books in the US [1] and HarperCollins in the UK. [2] Part One details Cher's childhood, her early success, and meeting her first husband, singer-songwriter Sonny Bono; the book spans 1946–1976. [3] Part One debuted at number one on The New York Times Bestseller list and remained on the spot for three weeks. [4] [5] [6]

Part Two is set for release on May 19, 2026, on the eve of her 80th birthday. Cher first announced that she had begun writing a memoir in 2017. [3]
