The Chineja is a right tributary of the river Prut in Romania. [1] [2] [3] It flows through the towns and villages Berești, Târgu Bujor, Foltești, Tămăoani, Frumușița, Tulucești and Vânători, and through the Lake Brateș. Its length is 79 km (49 mi) and its basin size is 780 km2 (300 sq mi). [2]

The Bârlad is a river in eastern Romania, a left tributary of the river Siret. Its total length is 207 km (129 mi), and its drainage basin area is 7,220 km2 (2,790 sq mi). The source of the Bârlad is in the low hills between the Siret and Prut rivers, southwest of Iași. It flows generally south, through the cities of Negrești, Vaslui, Bârlad and Tecuci. The Bârlad traverses the Romanian counties of Neamț, Vaslui and Galați and flows into the Siret near Suraia.
The Jijia is a river in Ukraine and the Moldavia region of Romania, a right tributary of the Prut. It rises in Ukraine at an altitude of 410 metres, flows south in Botoșani County through the town of Dorohoi and meets the Prut in Gorban, Iași County. It has a length of 287 km (178 mi), of which 275 km in Romania, and a drainage area of about 5,770 km2 (2,230 sq mi), of which 5,757 km2 (2,223 sq mi) in Romania. Major tributaries are the rivers Sitna, Miletin and Bahlui.
